Rent is a very modern musical. At its most basic level, it's about a group of friends who are basically squatting in an apartment building (meaning they live there without paying) but are all about to be evicted by their old friend/landlord, Benny.
On a deeper level, it's about love, friendship, AIDS, acceptance...it's a very beautiful story. It'll make you laugh and it'll make you cry. I hope everyone gets a chance to see it. You'll be moved!
