I'm going bridesmaid dress shopping tomorrow with my 4 bridesmaids. My one bridesmaid just called me last night to break the news to me that she is pregnant again!!(this is her 4th baby..she's had a baby a year since 2003). She's going to be 8 months pregnant when the wedding comes around and she still wants to be in the wedding party but now she says she'll have to find someone to make her dress. I told her that I'm sure there are designers that make maternity dresses...ahhh!!, she's been difficult the whole time though..so frustrating!!. She's wanted to wear a different dress since the very beginning. Ah that feels better **vent vent**

Jeff and I have also registered. One at Canadian Tire (for all of our cooking and camping needs)
and Sears. Jeff will be coming home on Sunday (I haven't seen him in a month) and were hopefully going to add some items.

I'm also in the process of trying to get the whole wedding flowers dealt with as well. I went to the florist about a month ago and the $$ quote they came back with was a little steep so now I have to find flowers that are elegant that won't break the bank!...any suggestions??
Oh I hear ya - flowers are very expensive! I use to work at a florist about 10 years ago...what you're paying for is for the actual manpower to arrange them...and it really isn't that difficult. You're a creative person so here's a thought - maybe you can just buy the roses or a less expensive flower of your choice and actually put them together yourself. I'm not sure what kind of bouquet you're looking to have but I thought of doing this...just tying a simply ribbon around a small bundle of roses. The guys bouts are easy to make too...you could probably find the directions online or in a flower arranging book. If you don't want to do this, less expensive filler flowers such as babys breath and greens will help bring the cost down.

Registering - oh we need to do that too. I already started one at Pottery Barn but Dennis and I both need to go to Bed, Bath & Beyond together too. We need so much...I will be so happy if we get a coffee maker that doesn't leak all over the place or a toaster that actually toasts the bread!!!

Oh...and I understand your pain! I have one bridesmaid who is ordering her dress a few sizes bigger...just in case she gets pregnant.
But Alfred Angelo www.alfredangelo.com style # 6334M actually makes a maternity dress for those that will be that far along. I'm thinking other manufacturers probably do too. Atleast she got back to you...I'm going to have to stalk mine just to get her to get the dress!!!

Me again!!

Well we got the bridesmaid dresses today!!. I didn't think we were going to order anything I thought the girls just wanted to look but they all agreed on one that they loved!!

It's a midnight blue full length dress made of chiffon. V neck with a pretty assymetrical pull of fabric at the waist.

Can't wait until all of our dresses come in and we can go for the fitting!

And this is the bridesmaid dress my sister and my daughter will be wearing but my sister's will be mainly purple with a lilac insert and my daughters will be lilac with a purple insert.

These are the invitations that i made myself.

Ooh la la - that sounds very pretty! Do you have a picture of it?
When is your wedding again?

And it must have been in the air because we picked one out too! It's a Rosewater organza strapless A-line tea-length gown, natural waist with ivory ribbon belt. Absolutely beautiful and I totally wanted one too! It's not as form fitting as this picture as it's an A-line and I was unsure about going with pink but it will be perfect for August. I feel such a sigh of relief!

How bad is this? I forgot about this thread
I love hearing about all the wedding details! I'm starting to get the wedding stress a little bit. Although Jay and I's wedding is not until Oct. 7th, we went 2 weeks ago, and I got my dress!!! and the bridesmaids dresses...only thing is they are now discontinuing that dress after this week and my maid of honor just called and said she's the only one whose ordered the dress
I don't want to make everyone rush cause they have to have half down to order but that's the dress I want them to wear!...I'm not sure how to confront them to tell them to be in there by Saturday to order...Anyone have any ideas?

That is a sticky situation and I've been in a few already with my bridesmaids (well only 1 of them actually). I'm afraid that if that is the dress that you want them to wear then you are going to have to call them and tell them that they need to get the dress ordered now. If money is an issue for them perhaps you could offer to front them the money for now and they can pay you back??

Good Idea. I just feel horrible but the dress is perfect and everyone loved it and felt comfortable in it, which was important to me. Thanks for the advice!
