Mallorn is trying to make me broke, I swear. He's now taken up, at random times, making a horrible bubbling/gurgling psuedo-purr as if the dry heaves weren't enough. Is this progressing asthma? Allergies? Should I get him scoped to see if he has a growing polyp?

I'm definitely taking him into my work tomorrow, but I'd really like some theories and other questions to throw at the vet when I arrive for my shift. >.<

If he's only doing it when he's asleep, could he be dreaming?

Bella sometimes eats in her sleep, and she makes the strangest noises. I thought she was sick or choking or something, but she was just lying there chewing on nothing, and when she was done, she licked her chops.

He does it when he's awake as well, though he did it for about 10 minutes straight before I posted. It's very much a congested sort of gurgle, yet the vet heard nothing wrong with his lungs, and his x-rays were clear.

The only things we've discovered are that not as much air is coming out his left nostril, and his small intestine is very gassy which might explain the chronic soft stool he's been having. They suggested that if I'm wanting to try everything that I might try switching him to Z/D... but that's still some $40 for a ten lb bag after discount... and my wallet cries at the thought.

So now I'm *really* starting to wonder if it's a polyp in his nose.
