Heyyy so since like about a year now I have given up soda...and drink mostly water...with the occasional cup of juice and a once in a blue moon ginger-ale....best thing I ever did...you would be shocked to see the extra calories you consume just drinking juice and soda

Anyhoo about a few months ago I started getting Sparklig water...not seltzer with all the sodium....just natural sparkling water.........there is nothing else in it but natural carbonation and spring water.......

Is this just as good as plain not bubbly water...I figure it is but i thought i would ask......

I would think so, but I'm not sure. I planned to begin the school year this year drinking mostly water with some juice in the morning and a rare coke. Didn't work! With school, I have to have my Mountain Dew in the morning class to wake me up, or I can't stay alert. I know its not too good for me, but I try and drink mostly water the rest of the time.

I don't think there is anything wrong with carbonated water. I think you should check with the catsite users from Germany for their opinion.

If you wish to save money you could just purchase a machine that does the carbonation for you at home.

I feel like I have to respond here, and would agree that the machines that carbonate water would save money, and you might not notice too much difference in taste. Many "sparkling waters" are apparently carbonated tap water.
My German husband drinks bottled, lightly carbonated "mineral water", and can't understand how I can drink plain old tap water. Well, I'm a regular reader of "Stiftung Warentest" (merchandise testing foundation), the German version of "Consumer Report", or the British "Which?". The foundation regularly compares bottled waters, and tap water, and tap water always "wins", because many of the mineral or spring waters contain far too high a concentration of sodium, or various other minerals. Fifty years ago, it may not have been "safe" to drink tap water in Europe, but that hasn't been the case for several decades.
That said, I have to admit that we filter the water at work ("city water") before using it to make tea or coffee, because it simply tastes "hard". Our pets have always seemed to prefer the tap water at home to bottled spring water, and Jamie prefers it unfiltered.
