Do any of you have cats that will actually sleep in the cat bed?
I've known too many cats that ignore theirs and sleep elsewhere (especially next to their beloved human).

Smidge sleeps most of the night on the floor next to my bedroom door.
Not even on the couch which would be more comfortable.
I thought I'd get her a warm fleecy cat bed for winter...since the floor especially gets cold, but I'm tired of spending money for stuff on her that she doesnt use or enjoy! Argh! (I went a little overboard out of momma guilt)

So...your cats and beds?

I got Harley a bed when we first got him, but he refused to sleep on it! I was unhappy cuz I thought it was so cute and that he would like it, but nope. He has a mind of his own...totally

He ends up sleeping on his own personal pillow on our bed right by our heads, its so cute to wake up in the middle of the night to him purring right next to us

Susan, That picture is adorable.

When I brought Ellie home I bought her 3 beds. I went crazy. LOL One bed is actually a frilly canopy bed for dolls, my husband took off the front rail, making it like a daybed with a canopy top, one is square wooly and the other is a round fat cushy one. She does not like any of them.
But when I brought Smokey home, he used all of them, so I am happy. It is funny seeing him in the canopy one (it has white and pink sheets, blanket and pillow, really girlie). LOL

I wasn't ever planning to get either of my cats a bed because I figured they wouldn't use it. Then, my mom got them each a wicker basket/bed and they use them frequently!!

I have three cats and one cat bed. The bed originally belonged to Cat #1, and as far as I know she's the only one who's ever slept in it. However, with cold weather coming on here, she might have to fight for it. LOL Cats #2 and #3 were acquired within the last three months of hot weather.

Cat #3 generally sleeps in my bed, snuggled up as close to my face as she can get (she's still a baby for the most part) and Cat #2 is usually under my bed (she's the most independent of my cats and tends not to mix in).

Cat #1 sleeps at my feet or on my hip. If she's feeling snooty, she sleeps on the desk under the window next to my bed.

I'm going to get two more cat beds before winter comes, and see what happens. I've already promised my girls that when Mommy gets her tax refund next year, the first thing to come will be a BIG cat tree. LOL

i'm not posting any pix here, but mine do. they seem to go in & out of popularity... sometimes everybody likes them, then not. i think perhaps they are more popular in the wintertime.

Mind you we have only had our baby for a few days but she does not sleep in any of the beds we have for her.......she sleeps in my bed beside my husband and myself.lol She cries if shes not "with" someone, so she found her way to our bed and shes been there the last two nights. I like it so Im totally Ok with it. My husband is not as excited about it.lol
But I think she is going to be so spoiled so what she wants she will get.

Mom bought me a fairly large kitty sofa from TJ Maxx And I hope she didn't pay alot cause they really don't use it.
I did make a polar fleece circular bed and three of the four use it-esp when its positioned in front of the wood stove in the winter. I've made polar fleece cat mats too and those aren't used alot. Perhaps they need the human scent on them??

Our 2 cats have little cat sized bunk beds that my hubby made for them. They sleep in them every night ...Toby on the top bunk (alpha cat) and Tedy on the bottom. I`d post a cute picture of them...but still have`nt figured out how to do that.

Do you want me to post the picture of your cats in their bunk bed that you sent to me? It really is a very nice piece of furniture and your cats look so adorable in it too.

There's no place like home
Mine prefer tents over beds, but will sleep in either. I have 12 cats and probably 24 various types of beds/tents/pads all over the house and they are often occupied. I know that's a lot, but I've made a lot of prototypes over time.

My babies love to be warm....so they like to be inside of something. I had them fleece sleeping bags and also we got a large soft sided crate and put a electric pet warming bad under a fleece blanket in it. All of them can fit in there together.

OK, here is Stampit3D's cats and their bunk bed!! I've never seen anything like this, but I think it's an ingenius design. I am certain that my cat, Charlotte, would demand the top bunk!!

They do sleep in thier bed. They used to fit in it together but not anymore. Grandma brought another one that they seem to play in. We'll probably get a dog size one soon for winter.
