I would suggest getting a sphynx from Michelle. belfrysphynx.org Her cats are so very special. My brother has one of her sphynx another friend has one and a friend we bought one of her sphynx for sent back a sphynx he bought from another breeder. My brother bought me a KOHANA KAT from her. Her cats are very friendly and extremely smart. Michelle is a professional and honest breeder. She will always take the time to chat with you if you call or e mail.We have not had any problems with her cats. Some cats we have gotten from other breeders have been a nightmare. My brother bought a Devon Rex and the breeder caused us some major issues. Sent the kitten with ringworm causing our other four cats and dog to contract it. We are still dealing with it to this day. The paperwork required for him to fly (rabies and other shots) was falsified, the breeder ever admitted it.

I'm sure they are lovely cats, and sweet as honey, but I'd rather have a Sphynx. Why are these Kohona Cats so wrinkled?

But hey, each animal is beautiful in it's own way. Their skin is so shiny...They look like they'd feel really smooth. I hope no one in a cold environment gets one of these! If so, they better have a wardrobe for the poor thing

You know...

I KNOW my cats are naked, I always have, and I KNOW that my dog was naked, and I'm okay with that.. but those are just... WAY-Too-Naked! Even spinx are okay with me because they're fuzzy.. but thise kitties just look like they need to put on some clothes!!

It may be because I have 4 hairless babies, but I think that the Kohana's are just adorable. To be honest, cats with hair look weird to me sometimes, but that is only because I am use to seeing hairless cats. I would love to be owned by a Kohana someday!

What is your cats name? Do you have anymore pictures you can post of him?

It took me a long while to think of what their wrinkles reminded me of and why I could picture what petting them would feel like. Their wrinkles remind me of a morel. It's a type of mushroom that's full of wrinkles.
I don't think I could be owned by one, but I certainly would love the oportunity to meet one someday and massage its wrinkles

I think that the Kohana Kats are too wrinkly for me. Then again, I used to think the Sphynx were unattractive until I met 2 wonderful Sphynx cats in San Clemente. Talk about ambassadors - they had my aunt & me thoroughly charmed by the end of the visit!! at first I thought they were dogs, till they came up close. Now I'm a fan

I think you are the only person on this forum with a Kohana Cat. I am owned by 5 Sphynx. I can not wait to see pictures of your Kohana!!

If they are being bred for why not lets continue to breed Twisty cats and Munchkins? They are cute creatures too!

Well, I think they look healthy and cute. Do they have skin problems? Get sunburn? sensitive to temperature extremes? Do they have normal lifespans?

Yes, the wrinkles are weird! Kittens are hmmm..

I'm not sure about breeding for this, but love the ones in the pictures.

I shared this thread and the link with my NZCF forum and oh gosh, the breeders there just went absolutely nuts. We're hoping and praying nobody imports these into our country.

Sam,
Why did they go nuts? Did they really like them or really dislike them?

I thought they were interesting. I would worry they would always be cold!
I really loved the looks of the kittens. Looked like wrinkley old men!
