I was unable to get the video, but have been following the footage about Katrina pet rescues whenever I can. It is so heartbreaking!
I continue to pray for the rescue efforts to continue, and miracles to happen. But I hope that those destined to die will have release soon.

I went up to PetSmart Saturday and spoke with the different rescue groups that had animals there for adoption. (There were 4 groups.) I filled out a foster application with Illinois Humane to help with some of these poor babies. My heart almost broke looking at them, and I could only imagine the stories that were behind all those beautiful eyes. On Sunday I made a return trip to the store and found out that most of the animals were in pending adoptions since Saturday. YAY! But, they are transporting more up this way, so the need is still very great. I wish there were more I could do!
