I'm so psyched that football season is finally getting underway! I watched most of the Patriots/Raiders game last night & I can't wait till Sunday to watch my Giants!!

Anyone else here into NFL football? What's your team? Any Sunday rituals?

I'm a baseball person myself, my father played minor leagues before he decided to go to Med school instead.
I do like watching football on thanksgiving and the super bowl though--its fun to watch with a group of people.

I watched the game last night too when I was working out at the YMCA!
I like Randy Moss (I think he's cute!) so that was good ambition to keep me working out!
I love football season! I'm a Vikings girl tho!

Yes, and call me weird but I play fantasy football. My boyfriend is a bigtime fantasy nerd. Hw watches all of the games he can. His dream is to get NFL network (where he gets all of the games). I usually watch too. Around here, we get all of the Packer games because they're on. Scott wants to get a 2nd TV for the livingroom so he can watch more than one game at a time!!! This is what I have to live with!!!

I won a public fantasy league 2 years ago, and I also won $120 from the football pool Scott's brother runs (where you pick who's going to win). I smoked them all!!! Scott tied for 2nd place and they were all 6 games behind me.

P.S. Last night's game was great!!! I think the Atlanta Philly game on Monday night will be really good also. I love those championship re-match games!!!

Ahhhh football season. Redskin fan here. The only drawback is my husband going on and on about Daniel Snyder ruining the team.
I don't care. I like to settle down to scrapbook with the game on and my husband yelling at all the players. He is quite the armchair quarterback.
Course football is just fall for me. Chili or stew on the stove fragrancing the house a wood fire burning adding a crackling ambiance. I can't wait.

I am ready for football season to start. I'll be there on Sunday for the home opener against Denver.
I don't expect the Dolphins to be good this year, maybe 5 or 6 wins.

Colts fan, here - not just because I'm in Indiana. I'm a Peyton fan. My brother who lives in TN got me watching the UT games when Peyton was playing there. Y'know - they just renamed the street that runs in front of the stadium in Indy PEYTON PLACE!

Aaaawwww yeeeaaaa! We are so into football that we took the pre-season seriously!
I'm a Pittsburgh Steelers fan(I bleed black-n-gold) & my fiancee is a Cleveland browns fan, so we usually go to this one bar that plays both games. We drink pitchers of beer, I get all hyper & yell. We wear our colors. We obsess over who is doing what, who's winning the football pool at work-we bring our football sheets with us & watch the scores. I love it.
Giants fan, you got our QB's favorite target(Plexico!) & now Big Ben seems lost..I picked you guys for the pool, so I hope the Giants win!

Broncos fan here! I've been watching the Broncos since before I could comprehend football.
I actually remember the 1978 Superbowl loss to the Cowboys....I was 5 1/2 years old.

This begins a very sports oriented time of year for us! NASCAR is ongoing until November, NHL starts (YAY!!!) October 5, and football too. I should get a lot of cross stitching done!

Ick, no thanks here. Give me a gallery opening, a poetry slam or a symphony concert any day! But no pro prosts here, no sir! I'm athletically challenged and hopelessly artsy...not to mention my moral objection to how much these people get paid! Like, I appareciate the fact that they have talent and work hard and all, but...so do a lot of people in various other fields.

My father, on the other hand, is a die hard Packer fan, so when I'm home I get sucked into the whole tailgate food, Sunday football blaring, everyone yelling at the TV thing. It's traditional, and even though I have zero interest...it's a comfort.

Saw some really great games yesterday, including the Giants kicking some butt!!! I thought the New Orleans/Carolina game was one of the best and it was really great to see them win it this week. It's going to be a tough season for them, but they really want to win it for everyone affected by the hurricane. (On the other hand, I hope they don't win next week, bc they are playing my team!!!). It was really touching when they did the post game locker room interviews.

I think my dad is the biggest Saints fan in the country. You could hear him cussing and cheering from the front yard.

By 11am I was in the LaZBoy with food, beer, my vikings shirt and helmet being insulted by all my boyfriends friends (they are all Buc's fans).

After paying for the NFL package I had to spend 30 mins on the phone after it suddenly turned off
but turns out they had problems getting the feed and everyones was out - but I still missed half the game

Oh and I am a bigger fan than my BF is - its usually him saying by the last game 'can we watch something else?'

My ex was on the football team at school though so its kinda just in me to spend the whole of Sunday watching football

Oh and I upset my neighbours by insulting the Saints very loudly for going for the field goal and not trying for a touchdown - I was just 1 point away from winning $350 on sportselect
if only it had gone to extra time

Yay, saw the Dolphins beat the Broncos. The end of the game was great, I thought Jason Taylor was going to run out of bounce, but he took the fumble back for a TD! Had a lot of fun, I don't think Denver was ready for the hot weather, and the humidity.
Next, is the hated J-E-T-S SUCK SUCK SUCK!!!!

Go Phins!

Yesterday was a good day.
The Steelers were on fire & kicked some serious butt. My poor fiancee had to sit in a room full of Steelers fans to be able to watch his Cleveland Browns game, he drank too much & threw up in the yard as soon as we got home. Poor guy! His season didn't start off as good as mine did, I keep trying to convert him, but he still refuses!
