Need advice: getting a puppy w/ cats in the house??

I have 4 adult cats, and my husband and I are looking at getting an 8-week old chocolate lab, but I'm concerned about my cats transitioning. ..they are all indoor; we have a large fenced-in yard, and would crate-train it, but wonder if any of you have positive/negative experiences to share? Thank you!

do the intro just like the puppy was a cat... I would be extra vigilant since puppy could hurt cats without meaning to

Here is a great link to cat/dog households with tips on introductions. It was written specifically for pit bulls, but its appropriate for any dog. Proper introductions are important for good co-habitation.
