So my guys are still too small to wear their collars, but they have them on right now to help them get used to them. They are valiantly trying to lick them off, and when they get frustrated, they try to scratch them off. They're getting a little used to it now and leaving them alone once they find something else interesting to play with.

Don't I look goooood? Sometimes you have to suffer for fashion!

I tried to put a collar on mine last night, didn't even manage to get it to touch their necks!

LOL They are funny when you put collars on them for the first time. I remember Jinx got Sage to chew on one end while he went to the other and took his collar off.

Yep, they're a velvety material with a sparkly strip on them. I think I got them at Petco. I was worried they were a little too girly, but hey, boy kitties need some bling too, right?

This is the second time I've put them on...Jack had an absolute fit the first time. It went better this time! Henry doesn't seem to mind as much.

I have put collars on cj and he will lick them and then get his lower jaw stuck in it and cant get it out, he will start freaking out and I have to hold him down to get it off of him. I dont know why but collars and harnesses both do it to him, so I dont ever put any on him unless we are going for a walk. But your babies look so good, we might try again some day...

That happens when I try to put one on Chloe, so I've given up. We'll have to get her chipped at least since she won't tolerate the collar.

Your boys look cute in their collars - I hope they get used to them quickly!

Can you not buy a kitten collar and harnass? I bought one for YY when she was a wee 12 weeks old and it fit perfectly and she is a tiny girl to start with.

You can see the harness here - she fell asleep on the monitor after a walk even before I had time to take it off, Cats!!! They can fall sleep at will.

And this one of her collars - at 15 wks or so. I apolgize for the quality of the 2nd photo. I zoomed in and did something to the original photo!

CyberKitten--I can't see your pics. Maybe it's just me.

I did see some 5" collars at WalMart but they were very girly and I didn't want to put them on my boys! Target, Petco, and Petsmart only had 8-12" and bigger.

aww! So cute!

If they can get their jaws underneath the collar it means the collar is too loose. You can tighten it enough so that the cat cant get their jaw under it, and so that they can still get out of their collar if ti gets stuck on something.

I have the opposite problem you guys do of not finding collars small enough....

I cant find collars LARGE enough for elliot! Hm... maybe petco or petsmart has ones that are bigger. I think I would need a 16. 14 is what they have at Kmart.

I like collars with bells on them too and the cats dont mind them
makes it easier to not trip over cats.. and when a cat is hiding and they wont come out, their position is given away by the sound of their bells
