Coffee through a straw?

Hmm...does anyone do this? I think it's popular amongst the people who have whitened their teeth.....

Never thought of that before!, I myself don't drink coffee, I only drink tea, but I guess you could do the same thing with tea??

i see people at Starbucks drinking hot coffee with straws all the time, and I didn't know that was why they did it! I was wondering why they would drink hot coffee with a straw

I don't, at least not usually. No real reason not to, I guess, there's just a few things I don't drink through a straw, coffee, tea, and water. If it's a coke, especially over ice, OTOH, I've got to have a straw as I can't stand the ice breaking loose when I tilt the glass up, I have a drinking problem (remember "Airplane"?)

I will occasionally sip a bit through the little stir sticks I bought (a box of like 7,000 at Sams Club!) but only if it's very hot as that makes it a bit more comfortable to drink..

I love coffee..but through a straw?
No way.

I don't drink coffee anymore but I guess I can see doing that if you have whittened your teeth. It's expensive.

Not all coffee is hot y'all. I drink cold coffee through straws all the time. And if that coffee (hot warm or cold) has whipped cream I do so so I dont get it on my face (think dr. evil from austin powers), and I dont want my teeth to look icky either.

I am sooo going to Australia to have coffee and TimTams.
TimTams, TimTams, roly poly TimTams,
TimTams, TimTams, eat them up, yum!

YUCK! I don't like coffee but I understand why people would drink through a straw. I wouold want to keep my teeth white too after I paid all that money!

Straws are just another name for eye gougers and nose reamers, I never use them.

Sometimes I drink hot coffee through those really narrow straws...only because I want my big 24 ouncer to last...sometimes it takes me a good 2 hours to finish my "cup". Guess you could say I'm a nurse who nurses her drink! Otherwise, I hate straws..and while we're at it, I HATE those cardboard sleeves they use to protect you from the hot cup. I have a tactile sensitivity to them.

I do drink coffee through a straw on occasion but it isn't to keep my teeth white... just helps to keep from a burnt mouth at work. That coffee is HOT!!

I don't actually drink it through a STRAW but through the stirer as it is less hot that way, AND I don't get too much and get burned while walking and drinking at the same time!

i know! i use them, but i always feel like I have to put loads of hand cream on while I'm holding them. yucky.

Heh... I dont drink coffee but if I did I would drink it through a straw. I have a straw fetish I think. I love nothing more than having a big, tall glass full to the rim with ice and a nice, cold coke. The colder, the better! Mmmmmm I only wish we had some coke right now, but all we have is diet mountain dew. I like the tiny straws also but my mom hides them from me though she NEVER uses them at all. I also like to bite down on the straws when I drink, making even less liquid go through so I can suck on it and savor teh taste. :O I am weird I suppose xD. I also like to drink canned beverages by just popping the top enough to open the tiny holes on the back near the tab but not really opening it, so I can suck it out of the top O_O Usually makes the can bend in and then I drink it through a hole in the side. Mmmm... sometimes I like to poke a very very teeny hole in the side with a knife, then shake the soda up and drink it as it sprays at me from the can. xD I find it fun but I am strange...

I only drink coffee through a straw when it is blended in a frappaccino(sp?)

I am in the majority who voted, I don't drink coffee.
