What's really bad is the people who buy stuff at their local dollar store and resell it for a profit. Mostly the jewelry...

I have sucessfully sold 1 item on Ebay. It was software. A few weeks ago, I tried to sell a CD (new, sealed and never opened) and no one bid on it!! I would love to sell more on Ebay, but all I have that people would want is software or some collectibles. The post office is literally 100 feet away from my apartment!!

Oh... one thing that urks me about feedback is sellers who don't leave feedback for buyers!! I always leave feedback for sellers. I also send a reminder to sellers if they haven't left feedback in 1-2 weeks.

I am one of those sellers who leave positive feedback for someone within an hour or so after them paying for the item. I also state in the feedback I leave for them when their item will be shipped.

A lot of sellers do not leave a positive until YOU leave them one because if they leave you a negative and you have already left them a positive, then the seller can't and leave the buyer a negative even if whoever bought it deserves it!

Also there are high volume sellers who have set up an "auto feedback" where when their account sees that someone left positive feedback for them it automatically reciprocates a totally ununique predetermined positive feedback.

For those of you interested here is what I wrote to the seller of the stuff that was peed on. I doubt she will reply any time soon, it took her almost 5 days to get back to me after the auction ended with an invoice!!!

"I got this stuff today and I must say I am very disappointed. You did not say something or someone had urinated on this stuff!!! It REEKS of urine and most of is is not useable at as-is as stated in your auction. I left you two neutral feedbacks (not negative) and I consider that being very nice on my part. This stuff is really gross, most is unuseable, and most of it is going in my trash can. Just wanted to let you know that I am not happy with this transaction : ( Thankfully I didn't pay more for it than I did..."

I started on Ebay because I lost my job and was dead broke for three months. It was in the height of post-Titanic Leomania so what I did was record all the little specials and show clips about him (like E! or Access Hollywood), and made a tape about an hour long of them. People overseas couldn't get enough of them, because they didn't get those programs there. I think I sold one for $75! At the time I didn't realize or even think that I might be violating copyright laws, and neither did Ebay... but they're quick to put the hammer down on it nowadays.

We sold cell phones that we used for 1 year for almost what we bought them new for. That type of stuff does sell well.

One reason I'd like to sell on Ebay is because I need to think about future employment possibilities. I've been on medical leave from my full-time job (that I love) since May and have no idea if or when I will be able to return to work. I have lower back problems with sciatic pain down one leg. So I'm looking into anything at this point that I may be able to do from home.

Not really, unfortunately. I have reported several sellers selling burned DVD's as NEW dvd's. eBay has done nothing. I have reported them to the FBI. If ever anyone wants to report internet fraud or copyright violations, the FBI gave me the website. www.IC3.com The FBI agent I spoke with said they have put several people in jail due to fraud and copyright violations reported off eBay.

There are TONS of folks on eBay right now making money off of notable horse clinician's tapes (Clinton Anderson, Pat Parelli, etc.) and it is horrible. These people are making a mint! Also do an eBay search for "Song of the South". Disney never released that movie on VHS OR DVD yet you see copies of them for sale on eBay fetching HIGH prices because the film is rare!

HOLY COW! that is horrible! that's so weird, though, that it smells like urine! I'm actually cracking up right now, cause that strikes me as completely weird! I would be TICKED, though, if i bought something and it showed up smelling like pee! YUCK!!!

What was her response when you told her it smells of urine?

I doubt I will hear from her any time soon, if I ever hear back from her at all. She was not good at "communicating". I just found some chicken feathers and mouse turds in the bottom of the box. GROSS!

I backtracked to see what the vendor sold you. Do you think it could be mouse or rat urine? I know you know (having horses it's inevitable) what that smells like. I suspect that she had all of that stuff in a box and may never even have taken it out to check it. Ewwwwwww
!!!

I don't know how you're going to get the odor out of leather and canvas. You might try (if we ever get any sunny days ever again) just putting the stuff out in the sun to soak up some rays after you've done the best you can. It's a sure bet thought that to keep your good rep you're not going to want to sell it anytime soon!

Well the stuff is all soaking now. Got a big gallon of pink generic fabric softener and some bleach and some orvus paste. You guys should have seen me out stirring all the stuff in the muck bucket with the end of a manure fork. I must have looked like some sort of weird horse witch LOL
