I finally get to get my new bed!!! bed
It's going to be a double, since I can't fit anything bigger in my room, and I already have a double matress. I'm only sleeping by myself now too...so I don't need anything bigger.

I am also going to get some new sheets, in my move to be more grown up (bye bye starwars sheets!). I'm not sure how to decorate though. Right now I have 2 light blue throws and one off white one. I also have a white and pale yellow comforter with daisies on it (which I could recover). I also have one of those misquito nets for over the bed in white. I love bright colours and warmth. Textures are a big must for me (I swear I'm a taurus and not an aries).

What are your favourite design ideas? I've been thinking either a dark brown/light blue mix OR a moroccan look with bright satin/sari pillows and the such. I could always die the misquito net too.

that is the bed i was planning to buy from ikea also and we still might.
We bought a bed from ikea back in febuary and well.. its already broken.

i would advise you to invest a proper thing that holds the matress, because here they dont come with the actual bed frame.

I call my bedroom the beach room. The carpeting is sand colored, the wall are the Raplh Lauren "denim" faux technique. Our doors and woodwork are that creamy white colored. My accents are a soft yellow, green, teal. Its very soothing (except for the cats jumping all over the bed at 4 in the morning!!

With that blue/white scheme what about a lemon colour or an off white with a hint of lemon for the walls? That would work well with the blues IMO...

I think since you're in-between Star Wars sheets and grown-up sheets, dorm stuff would be right up your alley! Bed, Bath & Beyond has a nice selection, Linens & Things has a nice selection, Target also has a nice selection. JC Penny has "campus" and "twenty-something" collections, including stuff from Seventeen and MTV Cribs. Pottery Barn Teen might be a little too young, but they have some cute things that older girls will like too. (Including me!) Urban Outfitters has some really nice stuff too!

Can you tell I've been trying to redecorate my room?
Good luck! You should get tons of ideas from those!

What happened to it? How did it fall apart? I was planning on getting the "firm support" insert, since that's what I need (and it's cheapest). I'm not planning on having this bed forever, just about 5 years or so while I finish school and wait till a special someone comes along. Then I'm upgrading to QUEEN!
Any suggestions on the Ikea front Fwan?

Wow! There are times (usually when shopping online) that I really really really wish I were American! I'm so jealous over the sheer amount of stuff you folks have available (and that your dollar is reasonable too). Thanks for the sites though, I looked through the bedding options and came up with some good ideas. I really liked the JC Penny "twenty somethings" page! I'm making a little folder on my desktop with image "clippings" so I can figure out what I like best and then go and find it
