Just got a call from the Barn owner not long ago, shes taken a turn for the worse. Gonna be heading out shortly. shes being taken to the U of M. the infection has spread, even though we have been diligent in keeping it clean, and her medicated, she was down in her stall tonight. *sigh* Thank goodness for the U of M. she will get the best of care..spendy but the best. Gonna meet them there, as she is loaded in trailer and on her way. shes in alot of pain, but she loaded good. Laira was squealing for her. (thats her best buddy in the world) Mishka can really use some vibes if there are any to spare.

Thanks she needs them. this poor girl is so accident prone i dont know what to do with her. but wrap her in bubble wrap. I guess when my step mom got her. first thing she did was slice a cornet open..she healed. well just before i got her, she slipped on the ice, and bruised her hip something horrible. I got her just after that and ended up footing all the vet money on that (nice surprise..not)...the place she was boarded before i got her also didnt feed her very well and she was underweight..just now got her looking a bit better, and that hip all healed and this.. darn filly..

I love her tho.

Thanks! looks like i dont have to leave yet. they are taking it nice and slow in the trailer. which is good. i am not far from the U myself..so wont take me long to get there. Poor little girl, shes only two and has already been through so much

Shes back at home on stall rest. The infection is going down, her leg is not as swollen anymore either. but we have lots of fun pussy stuff

Poor Mishka. If it makes you feel any better, I was a klutz when I was a kid, but I grew out of it ... mostly.

Glad to hear it. Not about the pussy stuff . Been there done that, traveling out to a boarding stable 3 times a day to flush out a huge abcess on a mare's forearm. Healed well, though, with just a hairline scar. Hopefully Mishka will do the same or better.

So far the vet is sure there will be some proud flesh. No matter..show horse or not she will be loved. In fact I have been rationalising since i am an enduro rider she may as well follow Vixen, and Laira..and go down the enduro rode when she is old enough for now she gets to heal..

And i hope she stops running up the vet bill..man..i coulda gone to a reaaally nice spa..for what her stay at the U of M cost lol
