Don't worry, I won't be offended at all! I like it, so I'm not bothered if anyone else doesn't, I'm just curious following my mom's comment - so be brutally honest.
Oh! you are a member here too. LOL i saw your post onthe other site. I made a comment about how cute your cat along with the rug.. again i love the rug. it reminds me of 1970's.

Wow, how cool that you're a member both places too!
What a coincidence, that is really cool!

As long as you like the rug, that's all that really matters. Your mom probably has a much more conservative sense of style than you is all.

For what it's worth, I like the rug! My style tends more towards hillbilly hippy dippy eclectic anyway. My son just moved into his first apartment last year, and bought quite a bit of his furnishings at IKEA including some rugs about that size that have a geometric pattern on them. IKEA has some really great stuff!

I would have liked it better in green and gold, but that's just my personal taste
O think it's neat.. then again my couch looks like a spaceship.

I love IKEA. I just wish we had one in Indiana. Anytime we go to Chicago we have to swing by Schaumburg to visit the store there. That rug is cute! Is the cat tree in the background from the Ebay store? It looks like one I was thinking about bidding on.

I don't personally happen to care for it, but don't let that dampen your enthusiasm. I've done other things equally as wild, just different. I made a new patchwork quilt for my bedroom in various reds and yellows. All in triangles. (Actually, it isn't even totally done yet, I still have the binding to finish.) When my step-daughter (who is a beige and brown lover) saw it, her only comment was "It's bright!" And when I showed it to my quilt guild, one of the comments was, "I hope you aren't planning to be sick in that room." Another was, "I hope that doesn't keep you awake at night." But I plan to enjoy it.

Oh, I am totally jealous, when I went to buy this one, I soooo wanted the Strib, but had just paid for $850 surgery for Meeko AND bought a new bed and mattress (also from IKEA, I'm an IKEA addict
) in the same week, so I thought I shouldn't spend that much
- but that is a gorgeous rug, I totally love it!
The other one is really cool as well, didn't see that one when I was there!

It looks kinda like my pink/red IKEA duvet cover. Awesome score.

Oh yeah, he was on there testing it out as soon as I had it down!

Oooh, which duvet cover do you have - I love all of IKEA's duvet covers, have two of them myself!

It was $49.99 - I thought it was a pretty good deal.
