On Tuesday morning, at 3:30 am, I was awakened by sounds of kitten cries! I jumped up out of bed, grabbed a flashlight and looked under my bed to find Lady Bug and 2 little kitties.
I grabbed them and put them in the nesting box and sat up w/ Bug until 5 am when she finished having her babies. 5 of them in all! One little guy was struggling at first and I had to help him out with some KMR. However, he seems much better now and is able to hold his own.
We have all different colors, too. One is black (tiger stripe), gray (tiger striped), orange, taffy and blonde (runt) with cute markings.
They are just precious.

Lady Bug had her babies just in time...she was scheduled to go to the vet at 2:30 on Tuesday because she was 69 days pg. I was so worried the babies would die.

Everyone is doing well. Lady Bug is an incredible mom. I love the way she puts her paws on top of her babies to protect them if anyone goes near the box. This has been a wonderful experience. I already have a family for one kitten! I am so happy they are finally here.

Thanks for all your advice and expertice.

Congrats on your 5 new arrivals! Providing 100% of the nutritional requirements for 5 growing babies can be extremely rough on a little girl, so make sure that your sweet little Lady Bug is getting a good, high-quality KITTEN food formula in both dry and canned varieties, as much as she wants, whenever she wants. And of course, just as soon as the babies are weaned, get your girl spayed ASAP!

Best of luck!
