I took a vacation day from work today to take my stepdaughter to the oral surgeon to have all four of her wisdom teeth removed, two were impacted.

When they wheeled her out she was an absolute mess. She was crying and bleeding and, just a mess.

She doesn't remember any of that now but dang, do I remember just having one pulled, I was a mess. I can't imagine four.

I spent the rest of the day buying dog and cat food and finishing laundry from the graduate infested weekend. (her brother).

That is awful! I had all four of mine out at the same time as well and it hurt. I hope she's feeling better. That is definitely one heck of a day for you. Good luck with the graduation party planning!

Leah, I am so sorry your day was draining. And such a gorgeous sunny day, too. It is 10 pm our time, and I hope you have had a moment to relax on your porch with lemonade.
You do handle a lot down at your sprawling place.....and you give and give and give......
Good thoughts tonight

-E.

She's fine and staying with a friend and her friends mom. We both work alot of hours and cant stay with her. So they volunteered to take care of her. What great people.

They are great people
I had almost the exact same thing happen to me, and I would have been a distaster without anyone to take care of me! It isn't fun but now I can hardly remember that day and the week after. Please tell her I am thinking of her and know how it is

Under the cats, mostly.
Wow poor lass. My brother had eight teeth pulled when he was about 13... so I can imagine what kind of a mess she must have been in. David has a really narrow jaw, so there was simply not enough room for all his teeth to come in - he was in pain for a while with it and ate soup for about a week through a straw. I'm sending some really big get better hugs for her

Awww sorry to hear all of that. What a shame. I had all 4 of mine taken out last October, and it was a breeze. They knocked me out, and next thing I knew, I was headed home.........Poor little sweetie.........give her a hug from me!

Oh Leah, I'm so sorry you and your stepdaughter had such a rough start to your day. I had all 4 wisdoms pulled when I was 19, and I was pretty loopy that first day. I lived alone w/my mom at the time, so I spent quite a few hours by myself that week - I'm so glad her friend's family volunteered to take care of her!

I forgot to mention that they found a cyst and sent it out for biopsy. We got the phone call, message, today, that she needs to see her regular dentist for some concernes. I didn't talk to them because it was too late when we got home. PLEASE, someone tell me that she'll be okay. I have no experience with this kind of thing.

I would think that if they are sending her back to her regular dentist it is nothing to worry about. I really can't see why if it was something major the oral surgeon wouldn't want to take care of it! Stay calm and see what you find out in the morning
