please all dont be mad at me for posting this here, i didnt know where else too....but what are these member spotlight threads about? i dont get it

Every week the person who is chosen picks another "member". We get to ask the member a variety of questions so we can get to know them better. This week it was "Gemlady" Tomorrow she will choose someone else and we will start grilling them

All I can say is OH MY GOD!!!! ITS GRILLING TIME...hahaha just had to say that. YES I KNOW " I AM BAKED " I hear it from my husband all the time...

What was your first reaction when you were told that you would be moving to Evansville, Indiana?

Well, let's see. . . that was in 1994 and my son was a year old. The company my husband was talking about had openings in either Indiana or Kansas. We were in Mississippi at the time. I had never even considered that people COULD live in Indiana. Quite frankly, I was ready for a change.

How many 2 footed animals in your household?

3 - me, my husband & my son. But Grace keeps asking for a parakeet.

What is your favorite dish at Olive Garden? (okay, so I think I know this answer already...)

Getting to chat with like-minded friends about wonderful pets!

You are not a true blue Hoosier are you?

No, I was born and raised in beautiful southeast Arkansas!

What is your favorite season and why?

In the south, they only have about 2 seasons - warm and hot. I've really enjoyed ALL the seasons here in Indiana. By the time you're getting tired with the cold, all the flowers bloom. Then the grass really greens up and it's Hawaiian Ice season. Just when you think you can't stand another humid day, the leaves start to turn. And then it gets cold again. I think the real reason for winter is to increase the appreciation for the other seasons. Gee, do I have a favorite?

What is your favorite movie?

There are several movies that I could watch over and over again. The first one that poped into mind (besides Napoleon Dynamite which is propped on the piano right now) is The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. It starrs Rex Harrison and Gene Teirney and is not at all creepy. It's a very sweet movie.

My son is the joy of my life!

I always get sad thinking about my grandfather and great-grandmother who both passed away in the late 1990's. And, of course, my dear cat friend Katie.

My boss makes me pretty mad. My office is a 12 x 6 foot space in a basement that I share with 3 other people. Needless to say, we can't all be in there at the same time.

4. Who is the most sarcastic?

Me. My glass is always half-empty.

5. Who makes you laugh till you cry?

Have you ever heard of Mr. Bean? (the TV show, not the movie)

I didn't mention the 10 filing cabinets, two computers, three chairs, two tables, one big corner computer desk (mine!), the copy/fax machine, and about a millions tons of paper, books and binders, AND there are always at least two or three boxes on the floor. I should take a picture and post it - otherwise you'd never believe it.

The Evansville Downtown Christmas Parade - I LOVE IT!

I've never been to the Freedom Festival and have only been to the Fall Festival twice. We used to try and go out to the 4-H Fair but have not even done that for awhile.

It really all depends on what song is going through my head when I wake up. This morning it was that stupid new DirecTV jingle:

I was not happy.

The question SHOULD BE what things does my husband by that I think are a waste of money (comic books & D&D junk). He never really fusses at me about spending money because I tend to be tight-fisted.

Emma's pretty good about kneeding in the vicinity of a full bladder.

Church then Mexican food followed by a nap. Then maybe a little TV if there's a good movie on, but there never is. I sometimes settle for watching golf or NASCAR. Sometimes I take a book out to the hammock.

I got that movie on DVD this month from my hubby. It's one of my favorites, too.
