Tonight is the season finale of House, M.D. on Fox
and I'm just wondering if any of you watch this show. I'm gonna be watching for sure. If you're not familiar with the show, it's an hour long drama about a grumpy chief of diagnostic medicine and his proteges, 3 young doctors, who are basically medical detectives for crazy diseases and such......
If you do watch, what do you guys think?
I think they're adding in too much sub-plot and skimping on the diagnostic-focus that was more prevalent in the earlier episodes.....still good though

I love House! I just love the prickly guy. We will record it tonight, but watch a little later in the week.

It does make me worried sometimes, they always come up with diagnosis that aren't correct before they get to the correct one!

I will be glued to the TV set! I missed the early episodes, can't wait to catch them on reruns. I love the sarcasm from all of the characters!

Yay, I knew I wasn't the only one! It's my favourite show right now. I've seen almost all the episodes, but I'll probably even watch the reruns in the summer lol.

I am in love with Dr House.
He is a very interesting complicated man who is sexy & smart...and needy. I want to fix him.

Oh Im planning on it. Actually my mom and I set a time and date every single week just to watch that show. Its sooo funny and still keeps you on the edge of your seat from time to time. It's just too bad that this is end of the season.

Does anyone watch Greys antonomy? It's another doctor show which I found kind of boring at first, but the character development has been really neat. It doesn't have the humour that House does though, I suppose it's more like ER in that way.

I think Greys Anatomy is just as good a show as House, but for different reasons.

House addresses wierd illnesses, and flys in the face of conventional wisdom, without denying that conventional wisdom is usually the best answer [Ockhams Razor....
]

Greys Anatomy...now that show is all about what it is to be a person. By it's very name it shows that. We aren't learning medicine, we aren't learning what it is to be a Dr or a Nurse, or what it takes to diagnose an illness, at least not to the degree that House does, however what we do see, is the story of who Meredith Grey is and what she is made of. Simply put we get to learn Grey's Anatomy

I can't get enough of either show.

I love this show. I think House is as funny and sexy as it gets. I think Hugh Laurie does an awesome job of be so ornery but so lovable. I live for the little side vignettes when he does clinical duty and he tells people like it is for their ailments.

I watched the finale and have mixed feelings about Stacy (Sela Ward) joining the show. I liked the mystery of some woman wounding him emotionally and that is why he is. Not sure I want him to be cured or have resolution. I know very selfish of me. But it is part of who he is for me. Although I must say I loved last weeks show when he explained what happened to his leg to the class much better than the finale.

We're only on about episode 6 over here (shown on Hallmark at about 1am!), but I'm loving it so far. Impressed that Hugh Laurie comes across as so American too when he's soooo British

Hope it got good ratings in the US so that they carry on showing it over here!

I love love love LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE House. So does Bradley. We watch it each week religiously. Hugh Laurie has created THE most intriguing character on TV today and I am convinced he'll win the Emmy for best actor next year- just watch!
Anyone else rooting for House and Cameron to get together for good?

I love House too!! I know it's only a TV show, but why can't doctors in real life go to the extent he does to "help"? his patients??!?

he just explained in more detail - we found out that Sela Ward's character, Stacy, had his medical authorization (if he was unable to make decisions). he requested to be put into a medically induced coma to sleep through the pain, & once he was, she authorized the surgery he didn't want to have. they removed the dead tissue, & that's the cause of the limp. however, without the surgery, there was a strong possibility he would've died - this is why Stacy authorized it despite his wishes.
