Happy Birthday Patrick!

Patrick is 18 today...and he's been one of the loves of my life since he was born. Adorable as a kitten (he's a cream lynx point American Curl, one of the first Colorpoint Curls to be be shown in CH class in TICA) he has charmed everyone who has ever met him.

Diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Failure 3 years ago, and this past year with hyperthyroidism, I never thought he'd see this birthday, or be begging for treats as persistently as he has today, or looking as good as he does, for an old gentleman.

I love you my cutie pie, you are simply one of the best gifts of my life.

Patrick says "Thank you" to everyone who wished him well He got his favoriteist in the whole world treat (Rosie's Rosedust) and a brand new bed (ssshhhhh...don't tell him I picked the one that came from the manufacturer with an odd fabric color on one side) - a sherpa Kat-a-Pillo, which he promptly curled up in and napped in most of the evening (and lately, he's been eschewing all cat beds, preferring to doze on my lap or under dh's computer desk )

He is a one in a million, I've been so fortunate to share the last 18 years with him!
