Rate the star wars movies

what is everyone's favorite star wars movie? What order do you put them in?

- Star Wars
- Empire Strikes Back
- Return of the Jedi
- Phantom Menace
- Clones
- Revenge of sith

Mine would be like this
number 1- Star Wars for sentimentality and for just "that's cool" the first time sakes.
2-Empire strikes Back (best art direction, best directed and best story)
3. Return of the Jedi (ok, no the other two but at least not as crappy as Phantom)

Phantom is the bottom of the bottom, and I never saw clones
Plan to see Sith soon.

I pick ESB as #1 cuz it was a great tragedy ("No... I... am your father"), great to see how Han & Leia acted like they didn't like each other and then... the carbonite scene (her: "I Love You...".... him: "I Know"), and, the ending was a beautiful shot.

Revenge of the Sith falls 2nd simply cuz the love story SUCKED! The lines between Anakin & Padme were so forced I could just *feel* everyone in the theater cringing. Everything else was awesome.

Star Wars for obvious reasons,
Rated ROTJ lower due to the EWOKS. Dang teddy bears;
AOTC; once again cruddy love story but Hayden is hot so there;
TPM I cannot willnot watch ever again due to Jar Jar Stinks. I mean, Binks.

I have only seen the original 3 - I have not seen the new ones and have no plans to - I can't just imagine watching them.

And I haven't seen ROTS yet....

It sounds like the consensus is that Empire was a GREAT movie and the best film overall as in story, character, art direction etc.

Empire is my favorite, Jedi is second. Haven't seen the new one yet.

A friend of ours who we saw the midnight showing with said that the only thing that disappointed him about Revenge of the Sith was that Jar Jar didn't get whacked.

The newest movies really lacked soul and proper direction... Its interesting to note that most people really love empire strikes back - the only movie Lucas didnt direct.

Yeah and I have a friend who is in the Hollywood community who says that didn't sit well with George. she has a lot of funny gossip to tell.
