Hi, I know some of you are familiar with how my manager quit while I was away on maternity leave. Well, she's extremely happy at her new company and a spot there opened up and she asked me to apply. So I did. I like how things are going at my current company (I've gotten a nice raise and a good bonus and they're being very flexible on times), but the commute is getting ridiculous! It's only 38 miles but can take up to 3 hours and our gas prices are currently averaging $2.69/gallon here in SD. I remember when I first moved out here 10 years ago that a 50 mile commute only took an hour! Anyhow, I've gotten through the preview process at my manager's new company and have an interview on Monday. Here's what I'd like to ask for:
Vibes that I end up with the right job for me and my life.
I'm not really that concerned about which one I have, but I want one that will give my family what they need without killing me. Last weekend I ended up in the hospital due to stress. I would LOVE to be a stay at home Mommy and be with my little boy all the time (even when he screams), but we can't afford that here in San Diego. I just need a job that will make our lives easier.
