Cats and Dogs @ McDonald's!

Begining Friday, 4/15/05, McDonald's will have toys from the movie Cats and Dogs in their Happy Meals. I work for a McDonald's owner and the office is in the basement of one of the stores. I had the maintenance man open a box so I could see what they look like. They're in the style of The Dog merchandise with the big heads and small bodies.

I'll get a list of the cat breeds they'll have. The boss just walked in, though. I've got to go!!

The boss hung around all day and kept me pretty busy so I didn't have a chance to snoop around in the boxes. I know there is a Siamese and a Scottish Blue Fold. I'm thinking that there are 6 or 8 different kinds, but don't hold me to that. You'll just have to start visiting your local store and see what they have!

The stores will only have a few designs each week. But during the Teenie Beenie Baby craze a few years ago when people were going absolutely nuts I spoke with a grandmother in the lobby who was buying a good number of hamburger Happy Meals. She said that she took the meat and the fries and would make a casserole at home later. I guess it's really a matter of whatever floats your boat.

I collected all of the teenie beenies and all of the stores here allow you to buy the toy only. I think it costs $1.50 or so, but I would have just thrown the food away anyway

I got the Scottish Fold today. Scooter promptly stole it, and is currently teasing Pepper with it.
I fed the hamburger to a stray cat, but the fries were good.
