Thanks to the membership

For the warnings, the PM's etc...I lost my server about 5:00 p.m. and just got online when the alerts hit. Gaye and I worked quickly to clear the board as fast as possible-

Just wanted to let you know we appreciate your keeping it to reportings only and not making it a major issue on the boards. Don't give them any more satisfaction from this-

Yep, we did good. No one panicked. Only two threads were started to give the trolls a little teeny satisfaction, and hardly any responses to those. Good job guys!

I'm sorry I was one of the ones to start a thread like that and won't for the future - I know all about trolls and their satisfaction, I just felt like the members here deserved a warning because of the extreme nature of the content.

Thats okay Amy ... Now You know and knowing is half the battle. I think one of the pics was the same one that some trolls used on us last month

I understand, Amy. But trolls post extreme content simply to get attention. They want their names and the content talked about, so the content is almost always extreme for that very reason.

Please don't take my previous comment wrong. I AM proud of everyone. Your heart was in the right place.

One thing we all can do is PM one another as well as PM'ing the mods. That way we can give each other a private warning and block the spammers user ID's.

In the upper right hand corner of each and every post here is a little red triangle with an exclaimation point in it ... this is the Report Post Function. It will alert all Mods of the problem at once and those who are online can get here fast.

I wasn't online when it happened this time so I'm curious. There were a couple of threads in the Lounge I subscribed to yesterday that are no longer available. Were they deleted because of trolls?

What happened? I missed it.
