New kitten

I am planning on getting 2 kittens soon. It's been years since I have had a kitten. I am worried about some of the cords around my apt.
I have surge protectors but lots of things plugged into them since I have only 2 outlets.
Any suggestions? I am really so out of touch on how to kitten proof my place since I was so used to Jess and Punkin. They were not even remotely interested in that stuff.

as i type i'm swatting my new kitten of the laptop chargers wires! try wrapping pipe lagging around the wires or spraying them with something nasty such a bitter apple.
