Oh, I just thought of some more.
Juliette Lowe grew up here and started Girl Scouts here. Johnny Mercer wrote his big hits Jingle Bells and Moon River here.
Also, when John Wesley came over from England, he started off in Savannah, bringing the United Methodist Church to the US

And anyone familiar with the bestselling book "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" knows that it is a true story that all took place here in loony old Savannah

If anyone watches 'One Tree Hill' on the WB, I went to HS with Hilarie Burton, one of the leads on that show. Hilarie and I were aquantances. She graduated the year after I did. I still have a yearbook of mine that she signed, and I have a video of her and I acting in our HS drama production of "Into the Woods" during my senior year.

Beryl, that is really cool. I've seen Hilarie on TRL on MTV. She seems really sweet.... what's she like in real life?

YES! She has been on TRL too. I haven't seen her on TRL in a long while though. She was VERY nice in real life to. We sat next to each other in Physics class, and actually our usually topic of conversation was how we both had a crush on this one Calculus teacher at our school. lol.
funny times. Hilarie was one of those girls who did is all: was in drama, cheerleading, student council, AP classes, top ranking in her class. She was one of those people everyone loved to hate because she just seemed to have it all.

I was born in Romeo, Michigan, which is where Kid Rock is from. The town is so small that the "hospital" that I was born at is now an Urgent Care center.

I actually grew up two cities north of there and he was only a couple years older. However, I was not on my game back then and never heard of him until he blew up!

Actually, Catherine O'Hara played Delia Deets in Beetlegeuse. Diane Weist was the real estate agent, as I recall. A very small part for her.

Emily Van Camp, who is Amy Abbot on the WB series Everwood, is from the town where I used to live and where my parents still live. It's a REALLY small town, so that's about the only "famous" person that I can think of.....

I don't really know - I'm not all that into celebrities! But if any of you have had Whittakers chocolate then I know where Mr Whittaker lives, he lives in my friends street.

Seattle! We have a lot of musical talent....
Jimi Hendrix, Quincy Jones, Ray Charles lived here for awhile, Kurt Cobain and all of Nirvana hail from Aberdeen (On the Banks of the Muddy Wishkah - that's where that title comes from, the river that flows through Aberdeen, one of the most depressing places you will ever see on the west coast), Kenny G, Sir Mix-a-Lot, all of Pearl Jam, there are so many musical talents that hail from Seattle....
as far as movie stars? Hilary Swank and James Caviezel from Bellingham, and Tom Skerritt, Seattle, there are writers here too, Stephen King and that dude who wrote Dune. The writers like all the gray, it feeds their angst.

Let's see:

*Don Mattingly is from Evansville...

*NBA player Walter McCarty is from here, too. His grandma and sister were actually just in the dealership where I work about a month ago having their car serviced.

* I know there's someone else, too, but I can't think right now...maybe someone else from Evansville can help me out!

Oh, and speaking of former 98 degrees member Justin Jeffres...I met him when 98 degrees came to town. I'll have to post a picture. He was really nice, but out of all 4 98 degrees member, why couldn't I have met the cute ones? Lord forgive me, but Justin is the least attractive of the group (in my opinion). I would have died if I met Nick Lachey

You're right. I meant the OTHER weird Tim Burton movie, Edward Scissorhands. My bad!
