This week got a little derailed from Easter weekend, as I only watched American Graffiti last night. We will change it to just one movie this week. So, who might be watching movies this weekend? We can all try to agree on one rather than me picking it. That will make for some good discussion. I doubt that anyone is going to be watching movies tonight or tomorrow, so we can post suggestions here.

Here's some movies I'm thinking of:

Runaway Train
A Clockwork Orange
Casablanca
My Fair Lady
The Sound of Music

Diner
The Hours
Reservoir Dogs

Well, like I said, this week's selection is a little late, so I'm going out on a limb to choose
Diner (1982)

Steve Guttenberg
Mickey Rourke
Kevin Bacon
Ellen Barkin
Paul Reiser
etc.

Quote from the www.imdb.com: "A group of college-age buddies struggle with their imminent passage into adulthood in 1959 Baltimore."

I think we should talk about the real life situations found in 2 Fast 2 Furious

I'll toss up a film that is supposed to be a classic, though I have never seen it: Diner.

Ryan, how about "The Hours". That's a GREAT film.

If you're going for classics, how about a Marlon Brando or Robert De Niro film.

Diner is really great....smart, stylish film. It wold be a good contrast to the others, for sure! (not that they aren't smart
).

The Hours depressed the heck out of me. I mean, I thought it was a good movie BECAUSE it depressed me... I can't watch it again because of that!

I love that movie.
Michael Madsen is quite the psycho in that movie. I've only seen it twice.

I'll edit the list in the opening thread.

Yeah, he was awesome but Mr. Pink is my favorite. Steve Buscemi is so creepy/cool, kinda like Christopher Walken..

Yeah he was funny! "Why do I have to be Mr. Pink?"

Yeah, the beginning dialogue was good.

How about the ear scene with Michael Madson singing "Stuck in the middle with you".

If you want a good indie film along those lines, how about "The Usual Suspects".

I just saw "Maria Full of Grace" and about to watch "The Motorcycle Diaries" (I'm hoping to get the jist of Spanish by the time I'm done
).

You want a movie that would forever erase any notions to become a drug mule, that's the one to see! Scary stuff.

Yes, that movie is awesome!!! Something tells me that most of TCS wouldn't be too crazy about this genre of film
I'll bet most people haven't even seen Pulp Fiction.

I think we're the renegade bunch of TCS!
Yeah, I'm guessing a much higher percentage of TCS'ers likely chose to see "Forrest Gump" over "Pulp Fiction" that year.

Actually, my favourite QT film is "Jackie Brown"... I really like the plot and the fact that she's this kick-ass woman. It's great!
