i am back on track for this week.
i got my cardio in yesterday and i do plan to do cardio and lifting today. Tonight is my last personal training session.
my trainer is the greatest. I wish i could afford to keep it up, but its just soooo expensive!!

Well I WAS going to head to a Spin class at 4, but it doesn't look like I'll be able to get to one until 5:30 (and even then might not get in)! We have online registration for all group ex classes (that can only be signed up for a max of 24 hours in advance) due to the immense popularity of these classes. Well, the stupid system wasn't working for me ALL DAY and no matter how many times I tried to sign up, I couldn't! So, when it finally let me it said that I was #83 out of 40 to register!!!! Which means I'd be on a wait list and just be hoping to get in. GRRRR. I decided I'd sign up for the 5:30 spin class instead then, and even in that one I was 53 out of 40! However, I'll be able to get there at about 5:10 (before most others) and snag a spot! How frustrating though!! I was all set and rarin' to go!!!

Today is a new week though and I WILL be going to workout today.

As for the comment about working out just to eat, that is totally me. I feel like if I am excercising I can feel free to eat whatever I want. Not the best attitude to have since I would like to lose at least 5 lbs. ugh.
Sorry, that icon's the closest I could get to a butt-kicking icon
Don't feel bad Beryl- just jump back on that pony! Glad you're back to working out this week
There must have been something in the air last week....I only went to Curves once
, but I did my abs/thigh exercises every day I didn't get to the gym. Felt good about that at least. But tomorrow I'm back to Curves for my cardio....4 times this week hopefully!
I'm also someone who likes to work out to eat
But, I've noticed that exercising DECREASES my appetite. Anyone else encounter that?
Marge, did you go walking yesterday?
Gail, that is awesome about the weight decrease. WAY TO GO!!!!!!

And Fran, CONGA-RATS on the kilo loss. WOO HOO!

ARGH matey! What a roadblock for you! What kind of class is it that you're registering for that already has 43 people wait-listed? Must be one of those major-specific courses that's only offered once in a blue moon, huh?
I hope you make it to your spin class- that sounds like a blast!

I did haul my lazy behind to the trail and did my hour long walk. I am happy I did, and I also did a bunch of errands and it kept me movin'. Today I have class so I can't do anything, but have yoga tomorrow.

Finally started working out again - missed the last few days due to not being able to breathe - blasted allergies!

Did flexibility exercises, in accordance with the ps2 game and then walked 35 mins!

It's actually just your typical Spinning class believe it or not! You just hop on the bike and do the progressions the instructor tells you to, adding resistance and changing your position throughout! I love what a great cardio workout it is! The thing is though that group exercise classes have their highest turn outs early on in the week and then start to die out by the end! The other aspect is that the ones I signed up for are at the MOST popular time of the day! Late afternoon classes are always the most full. If I could have gone earlier in the day, it would have been easier. But alas I could not! I better get into the 5:30 one though or I will be SO disappointed and distressed (thanks to the 2 pieces of chocolate cake I had for my dad's birthday)! I also really like the instructor who was teaching at 4, but the 5:30 one is pretty good as well.

Good luck on your workouts this week everyone!!!!

Oh and there's at least 2 spin classes offered every day (all 7 of them)! Spin is just so popular down here right now that the classes never have any extra room.

It's funny cause I really don't have a hard time with spinning, whereas it's really difficult for my roommate. But, at the other end, I'm TERRIBLE at running and can't run long distances while my roomie can run miles and miles with no problem. It's all about what your aerobic strengths are. Mine are more sprint like...probably thanks to all that dancing I did growing up!

I still haven't rejoined the gym.
BUT I have been repainting and scraping paint and all that great fun that comes with refinishing the trim in the hallway.... I've had a PB&J for like 3 days for lunch though LOL

Oh chica
just kidding
Hopefully your gym at Ft. Campbell isn't nearly as crappy as the one here on Hunter is (though we're getting a new one in '07), but if it's decent...are spouses able to use it? Or here's another idea: Why not take walks in the evenings with hubby? That way, you bond PLUS get a workout!!!
Scraping paint can burn the calories, too, though

I watched Oprah on TV and did the treadmill for 40 minutes (a slow 2.66 miles).
Its my favorite time of month if you get my sarcastic tone of writing-was a bad time to go grocery shopping-I bought ice cream (haven't touched it yet) and candy bars-haven't had those either. But crampy so far today-YUCK!!!
Very cool outside today so I'll probably be on treadmill as I'm at the halfway point in my weight loss (finally). Got my armband radio with the clock and radio station as programmed in-its a good thing to use for outside!!

Good job Fwan on the stepper and the news on the scale. Bad about your stomach upset.

Amy how can you wear work out clothes under your clothes??

Bath-are your arms and neck sore???

I've never done spinning classes-I don't think I could last!!!

KEEP UPTHE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!!!!!

I managed to get into that 5:30 spin class yesterday, so that was good!

Today I taught my hardbodies class and was extra hard on them as this is finals week and many of them won't be exercising again until Fall semester. It was fun.

WOW you're halfway to your weightloss goal Gail?? That's great!!!!!!
Congrats on taht!

We have 6 gyms total. 5 are free and they are crummy. The pay one has all the new equipment and its really nice. its 16 bucks a month. No biggie.

I've tried to get hub to walk with me but its like pulling teeth so when its nice out my neighbor and I put her baby into a stroller and walk about a mile and just chit chat.
I think tomorrow I might rejoin. I have errands to run but if I get them done early enough I'll hit the gym.
When I don't exercise I get more depressed and really.... sluggy. lol

You'd think for a job that really requires good physical health, the military would have ample, NICE gyms for their soldiers!

Way to go on rejoining! That's great that working out does such a positive number on your attitude- all the more reason to do it!!!
