How did people create their screen name/ user name?

Mine came about from how I used to want to be names Alizabeth... not just Beth. And Elizabeth is okay but I wanted to be different and use an A. Then I could go by Ali... 012281 is my birthday

I wasn't too creative. My user name is my 1st name, middle initial and last name.
I know, that's boring. It's easy for me to remember...

I used to have a screen name I went by all the time but it was just boring. So last summer I had to think up something creative (wanted my ex out of my life and that meant changing my email address, screen name, etc)... my favorite color is pink, my favorite flowers are daisies (particularly pink Gerbera daisies) and 226 is for my birthday February 26th.

The sad thing is that I ended up giving my ex my email address.

Mine is one I've used for a couple of years on various things. The pixiedust part is because I was really into fairies at the time and kats, well, because Kat is the first part of my name and it's MY pixiedust lol. So yeah.

My AIM name though is Katherin13, and that dates all of the way back to when I was 13. My family got AOL that year, and this was back when AOL would only let you have 10 letters/numbers for your name, so I tried everything I could using my whole name, and since it was all taken eventually had to drop the "e" of the end of my name and put the 13 on for my age. How very creative of me. hehe. So I've had that one for 8 or 9 years now!

Wow I can't imagine having a screen name for so long! Lol! I think I change my email address every few years... though I think I might keep this one for a while.

Obi is the name of my kitten/young cat. Obi is japanese for belt, specifically, the kind of belt used to tie kimonos and your karate gi (uniform). My husband and I are pursuing our black belts, and when we rescued Obi from the train station we made him our flagship kitten. You see, he's black and is named belt. So his name is essentially black belt. Obi, by the way, is currently off to my left, standing IN the toilet bowl. Yes, IN. Don't ask me why he likes to play with the toilet bowl water, becasue he just started doing it two days ago. Kittens can be strange people.

Yeah it is a long time, isn't it? I have had others though as I usually have multiple accounts. I don't actually use the other accounts though, they're mainly there for when I sign up for something online and don't want the junk email. Currently my junk SN is katbebe83, and I've had that one for a couple of years. I just can't get rid of Katherin13 though, it would be too much of a hassle at this point to switch everything over!! hehe

Well, Mom of Franz speaks for itself. However my AOL screen name is FrancieNOL...anyone want to take a guess? No? Okay, okay you give up..lol! FrancieNol is short for Francie Nolan, the main character in Betty Smith's classic 1943 book, "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" I read it (the first time) when I was 11. My mom told me I was too young to read it (in many ways she was right) so naturally I stole it off the bookshelf at home as soon as she wasn't looking. A lot of people assume it's a children's book. It's not, it's about dire poverty, alcoholism and loss, and above all perserverance. I took Francie's moniker because, I loved her, and I too "grew in Brooklyn" in all the ways you can grow, and continue to do so. If you have not read the book...what are you waiting for...go get it!

I have a friend, he's a little eccentric maybe, but anyway, he calls me Leli (rhymes with Eli)....like, to the point where he introduces me to people as Leli....he just started doing it in highschool. Anyway, it seemed like as good a choice as any. I guess that's sort of creative ?? maybe??

I didn't put enough thought into mine because I don't really like it now. It's one of the first user names I tried to come up with. I use something different on most sites now. But anyway, it's georgiagirl8 because I live in Georgia, I'm female, and I have no idea where the 8 came from. I am very proud of the name I came up with for my email though; it's angelmary427 after my grandmother, whose name was Mary. I think of her as my angel and April 27 is the day she became an angel.

I usually use the name "kiara" in forums, it was the name of my late cat. But when I tried register here, the name was already taken. So I pick felina, my other screen name.

Mine reflects my major hobby - gems and jewelry making. Actually niece came up with it when getting me an account with hotmail. I use it all the time.

I do freelance photography on the side, so it's clix=clicks pix=pics...clixpix! I use that screen name quite alot.

There have been some rather unfortunate misspellings of it though.
