My baby girl had to have emergency surgery about a month ago now. She had a pyomtra. Since surgery she has gained ALLLLLLOOOT of weight. Is this normal? I can't help but be a little paranoid because with the pyometra she put on weight as well. She has been so much more playful and happy since her surgery but she's a BIG OLE BALL OF FUZZ now --- I totally love her weight gain because she's been a tiny kitty most of her life but at the same time IM concerned. Should I be?

Cats normally do gain weight after being spayed. If she is getting too overweight you can try getting her to play/exercise more or decrease her food only by a little.

She's a big ole ball of fun now!!

She is so active she runs and plays more than she did when she was a kitten! But at the same time she's a chubby little booger!

My fear was that there might be more infection somewhere. IM totally paranoid of her gaining weight now since the pyro.

You could always take her to the vet just to be sure. She is probably fine. I'm paranoid about everything about my kitty too so I know how you feel. lol You could take her just so you won't have to worry.
