My 4-month-old male kitten has started suckling my face -- mostly my lips -- in the morning. He is obsessed with it. When he does this, I try to turn away, but he forces his face in mine and can't seem to get enough! Why is he doing this? How can I get him to stop without hurting his feelings?

It is just his natural instinct. He is treating you as if you were his mother. It usually means they were taken from their mother too early and they never really got weaned properly. If he normally goes for your face, I would blow into his face and say no. Just keep doing it and he will probably get the idea. Cats are trainable you just need more patience than with a dog.
