Do you believe in the supernatural? Ghosts? Have you ever heard of orbs? Well, I have seen orbs in pictures before, but never had any appear in any of my pictures and I have taken hundreds and hundreds of photos both film and digital, but things changed when I took this picture. 2 of our Pixie Bobs, Aurora and Lil Roar were cuddled ever so peacefully on a bed, so as always, I had to photograph them. Much to my surprise, there it was, just floating over them, was this big orb. The picture was taken at night, with a light on in the room and the flash. I have attempted to duplicate the picture, taking many at night with the light on in the room, flash and in the same position. I have not been able to duplicate it. So, what do you think it is? Is it the supernatural? Do you have any pictures of orbs?

I generally attribute this occurrence to lens flare...but it's not something that is always easily reproducible.

I think that there are indeed some photographs, or other types of capture media, where these phenomena are truly unexplainable; however I also believe that a real "orb" is a rarity.

Quite interesting concept nonetheless

I have taken pics before and gotten the same kind of "spot" on them.. I think it has to do with the camera in most cases. Though that is an interesting perfect circle.

Yes, I thought of these things to, but this did not look like ordinary lens flare. The strange thing is how it is a perfect circle. I have a close up of it here, makes it even more strange

I've never heard of "orbs" in pictures meaning something.... can you explain to me what it's supposed to be or what you think it is?

I have heard of orbs and I believe in spirits but I think if this was really a spirit, your cats would have reacted to it. Cats are much more sensitive than we are and can sometimes see and hear what we cannot.

I believe in ghosts, and myself and my daughter want to go on a ghost hunt next year. I do think there is another realm out there, and im fasinated by it.

Yeah, I believe in the supernatural, but orbs? Nope. Too easily explained. There's absolutely nothing in this photo that looks wierd - or at least that I can see... perhaps it's the brightness - or lack of it. But they're incredibly easy to duplicate. Anything like a dust particle, water droplets, glitter, just dirt in general will create an orb effect. Even something that seems to be moving - depending on the shutter speed, you'll capture it with a tail if it's floating. So easy. But yes, I do believe in apparitions and another realm - I'm dying to get on a ghost hunt, but I like to take the rational with me - anything that people call "orb" is completely discarded.

I have seen a few ghosts...
I saw this little boy he looked about 5 or 6 standing in the corner of my room. he looked very pretty but i cant remember how long he was there for.
and i used to always see this woman in old fashioned clothes walking in the hall way in australia. I'm not lying. PLus i talked to my sister but my boyfriend wont believe me. Also when we are out of frankfurt driving back home from a friends place i get scared because i see people in the middle of the road. But they arent there?? Its in the woods going onto the freeway. My boyfriend told me not to tell my driving school bcause then they wont give me my license :|
My mum and dad believe that there is some ghosts because there is always the shadow walking around.

That circle thing if you look at it properly its actually an eye with the pupil and other circle in it. *dont know if it makes sense* but it looks very pretty.

Alright. Now I know there are ghosts, because I can often see them (no, this isn't a joke)

Each of my grandmothers came to tell me when they had passed and I would know and tell everyone right before either they found out, or right before they told me.

Also, I have woken up with shallow cuts accross my back in wing shapes that are unexplainable.

see... someone's trying to tell you you're an angel Denise. I do firmly believe in the supernatural... as soon as I get the chance to, I will scan the picture that everyone says is an orb. Yes it's very pretty, but it could be explained in any number of ways. I hate to sound like a sceptic... but I don't actually see ANYTHING at all on that photograph. Personally I believe that if you want a good orb, you should go photograph a football. Show me an apparition over an orb any day.

I believe in energies. I believe also that they can be captured. I agree with the cat's reacting. That's why I love having my girls. If they are sitting calmly in the room with me, I know that everything is cool. But if they jump up and stare in one spot, without moving their ears around, or looking around, but just staring... my skin sometimes starts crawling.

I've always believed in energies around us, for as long as I could remember. Partly perhaps because I was comforted by our creator as a baby.

Completely I believe.

Growing up we lived down the street from an abandoned cemetery...at least it was abandon until the "bad" kids discovered it and began practicing some...well shall we say questionable things in it. That cemetery always felt off like something wasn't quite right with it. Even driving by it at night now as an adult creeps me out.

But beyond that the house we lived in had ghosts. My mother and I both saw them on more than one ocassion, infact I remember quite vividly playing with a little girl that "lived" with us. We'd sing together. It used to freak my mom out.
My mother also woke up one night and saw a large black man standing over her in the bedroom and turned to wake up my father and by the time she got him awake the man was gone. And while, I never saw it I'm pretty sure there was the ghost of a dog in our basement...I heard him many times barking...we never had a dog and neither did our neighbors at the time.
The cats we had growing up would always react too that is why I'll never live without a cat.

I was looking through my kitten pics, and captures a few that look similar to that with my dig cams. I think they look really neat though. I always wondered what caused them.
