Thank you
Nakoma really seems to be coming around these past few days, even with all this heat. Sunday, he kept flipping his water tub over, I think he was enjoying watching me come in and fill it back up. I put some new toys in yesterday. A huge tennis ball and a rope toy you would buy for dogs. I didn't see him play with them, but I know he was. They are scattered all over. I put them in one spot, look and hour later and they have been moved. He was quite active last night too. Usually with this heat they are quite lazy. I bought him a pine tree on Sunday and planted it in his enclosure. He enjoys sleeping under that as well. Before I just had old pine branches. I walked right up to him last night, he just looked at me, no growls.
So, I feel he is starting to realize this place is going to be ok for him. Since this is his 3rd move, I am sure he has a hard time trusting. With all that he has been through, he is a very good boy

And stay cool!
I am trying too. I am on vacation this week. Guess the heat is FORCING me to relax
I think we are going to get some huge storms
today. I can't wait, that will cool things off.

Sounds like Nakoma is going to be one spoiled and loved kitty-cat!

Well, now that the perimeter fence is up, it was time for everyone to meet. I decided it was time for Amber and boris to say hello to Nakoma. I wasn't sure how they were going to react, but I was more than happy. Boris and Nakoma loved ech other but Amber, still has a little while to go yet, but that is typical of her. They did not go inside Nakoma's enclosure, but were allowed to run inside the perimeter area with my wife and I supervising. The perimeter fence is not complete with a top yet, so we cannot let them out there unsupervised. I hope to have the top complete within the next few days. Anyway, here are pictures of the results

For the first time, they meet outside! Boris says hello to Nakoma. Sorry that this shot is a little blurry

Boris and Nakoma nose to nose

Boris and Nakoma playing. You can make out part of Boris' tail on the right as Nakoma and him play a game of chase

Amber comes out and says wow, what is this??

Amber says,hello Nakoma

Little Roar comes out to see what all the excitement is all about.

Aurora too makes her appearance.

Mother and daughter sharing an outdoor moment. Aurora and Little Roar.

Nakoma says yeah, this sure was fun meeting my new friends

Even Tommy Boy came out for some fresh air.

Our other 2 Cats didn't feel like coming out this time. Next, Boris is going inside Nakoma's enclosure to meet face to face without a fence betwen them. I have had Amber and Boris out a few times since these pictures were taken. Boris and Nakoma show no hostilities between them. Amber, I am still not sure of. It will be a while before she meets Nakoma face to face inside his enclosure.

Well, I did it!!!! Boris went inside Nakoma's enclosure for the first time. Yes, they got along great
There was a few times they did growl at each other, but Amber wasn't so happy that Boris went inside and she started to growl at Nakoma and that started to make him upset
I didn't get any pictures this time, but the next time they are together, I will be sure to take some more. As for Amber, it is going to take her a little while longer before she can go inside with him. She will just have to stay in the perimeter area for now.

Love the new pics! Glad to see Boris and Nakoma get along. And as for Amber - well, we girls can be jealous at times.

Thank you
It feels great to have the whole thing complete. Now we can sit back and enjoy watching the "kids" have fun
I need to work on the inside now. I want to add more cat walks, ramps and lounging platforms for them. I have more pictures, but I think people are starting to get bored wih them, so I haven't posted them yet

I just felt like there was a lack of interest anymore. You know me, I am proud of my exotic kids (and all my domestics as well) and I love to talk about them any chance I get. I just didn't want anyone getting tired of me talking about them

I just saw this thread for the first time, and I've spent the past 20 minutes going through it! Nakoma is GORGEOUS! Of course so are all of your cats, and I am just in LOVE
with "Little Roar"!

I would love you to post more pictures (constantly!)! Craig and I are enthralled with your Bobs... if we lived closer I'd definitely drive out to see them!

Just read this whole thread. John, you are doing a great job with all your babies. The enclosure looks great. Please post more pictures when you can. I'm sure we'd all love to see them!

I am a devoted fan of your cats John, I always show the pics to my family and friends at work. I live on PEI so I never see ANY large cats, and I really love yours. You put so much time and effort into caring for them, it's just amazing what you do.

I would love to see more pics, or stories if you ever have any free time
