Getting to Know You

5 Things about me not yet shared

1: I stopped having my hair cut over a year ago and have decided not to cut it until I've lost all the weight I need to lose.

2: I began writing poems abruptly at the age of 10.

3: I've always owned a cat for 46 years, and I'm under 50

4: I used to name all the barn cats kittens on my grandparent's dairy farm..favorite names were butterscotch, tiger and smokey

5: I tend to speak the sentence you were about to say, and do this to my dh all the time I used to freak out the residents I worked with

1. My favourite place in the world is my cottage.

2. I despise the colour pink since my mother made me where it almost every day when I was a child.

3. I have spoken to two people from TCS - AdyMarie and most recently LDG!

4. Right now my dream is to work in a photography studio.

5. I usually change my hair colour every 3 months.

5 Things......Hmmmmmmmm

1. I have always wanted to go to Africia and photograph the wildlife.

2. I'm a Grandmother of 4 beautiful children, 3 girls, 1 boy...Finally

3. I was once a heavy drug(cocaine, LSD, etc.) user but have been clean for over 15 years now.

4. I have done public speaking on education and substance abuse to G.E.D. students. My biggest crowd was in front of 600 plus people.

5. I want to do space travel, Some may say that I am already out there

Okay there it is in black and white. Don't hold anything against me

Five things...hmmm...Here goes!
1. I work full time and am a full time student

2. I'm getting married early next year

3. I don't drink alcohol

4. When financially able (and when I have the land to), I am going to rescue and rehabilitate horses (love those Arabians! )

5. When I was a child, I desperately wanted to go to boarding school.

Hmmnnn...

1. I am 24 years old, I have two younger sisters.
2. I live here in CR for almost two years by myself, without any family, and I don't speak spanish fluently (but I studied spanish for one year when I was in college).
3. I am getting married this year and going to move in the U.S., my fiance is in the u.s. right now.
4. I get out of the house couple times a month, when I need to buy food, and I only see two people each day everyday, my neighbor and the maid.
5. I haven't seen my dad for three years, my mom and sisters for two years. My family haven't met my fiance or even talk to him.

Wow...it's hard to come up with 5 things!

1. I am deathly scared of spiders! I literally hold my breath when I see them! EEK!
2. My dream job is to be a Professional Singer (my college degree is Performing Arts)
3. I have one brother & he's adopted. People that don't know that swear he looks just like me!
4. People ask me all the time if I am Hispanic & even start talking to me in Spanish...but I am very much German with a touch of American Indian
5. I am such a worry wart! Now it's starting to show...the gray hairs are popping up everywhere & I'm only 27! Thank God for Haircolor!

Me too, don't feel bad.

1) I am a fraternal twin. My twin sister is older by 11 minutes (I took my time with the sudden spare room). We look nothing alike, I'm 5ft, she's 5' 6'', our personalities are entirely different...I have the sense of humor!

2) I adore Opera and Classical music, Gounod's Faust is my favorite opera.

3) I like to believe I was Beethoven's "Immortal Beloved" in a past life...he is my hero.

4) My IQ is fairly high 133, Bipolars generally have high IQ's for some reason.

5) My favorite building in NYC is Trinity Church, for it's beauty and fond memories it evokes for me from my childhood...yet I'm not religious.

Things that noone knows about me are:

I belong to a church in my town

1. I love the ocean but not the sun. I scuba dive and eat seafood but don't sunbathe and use a parasol/umbrella when it is a sunny day.
2. I like traveling since my dad used to be a diplomat.
3. I don't like dressing up, or putting makeup. I accept people the way they are and I expect them to accept me the way I am.
4. I am a widow.
5. Wine and beer are the only alcoholic drinks I consume!

This is a wonderful thread! I've thoroughly enjoyed reading every single post and getting to know everyone better! It is difficult to come up with the 5 things, though!

1) My career goal if/when I go back to school is Family Nurse Practitioner.
2) I avoid social gatherings at all costs. I suppose I prefer to hide behind my
computer.
3) It takes me a while to trust and get to know someone, but once I have a
friend, I love with all my heart and will move Heaven and Earth for that
person.
4) I have been vegetarian for 13 years and vegan for 9.
5) I took piano lessons for 9 years and one day would like to go back for one
more year to get my tenior pen.

2. My mother is legally deaf. She can read lips like nobody's business though and used to freak all my friends out.
3. I work full time and go to school and should be done by the end of the year
4. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a fireman, trashman, school bus driver and doctor all at once. I really thought I would be able to to it all. Now I have no interest in any of those fields.
5. I detest almost all milk products.

I work in a group home assisting mentally disabled adult in their daily lives.

I use to be very afraid of animals. People who know me over 20 years are shock that I rescue and love animals.

I collect old snapshot photos. It is the history of ordinary people.

I live two blocks from the beach and hate sun bathing (boring) but love sailing.

Oh Boy. Here goes.

1. My favorite stone is an opal, and they will never preak on me. (It's my engagement ring.)
2. My mom is roman catholic, my dad is islamic
3. I speak and/or read 7 languages, most of those with fluency.
4. I am a graphic Designer, but hate creating websites
5.I never drew anything until my senior year in high school. (which surprises the heck out of everyone else.)
