I don't want feel crappy...I don't want to show emotions....I don't want to expose my "humanness" to the world....but what else can I do? Can me melodramatic...call my a basket case...I'm just in pain.

bossinova..I appreciate the question..but decline to answer...only because I don't think it's this one thing..I think that was just the "breaking" point.

Hey, Katie, what's up? You can tell us -- unless you'd rather not, of course. Putting it into words sometimes helps, though....

Katie,

Just take a deep breath and relax. You are on rescue burn-out and it happens. You just need to get some perspective, understand that all of them no matter how cute, or what age can't be saved and concentrate on the ones in your corner of the world that can. You will not be able to change people's mind once it is set on the importance of spay and neuter, and you are likely to see a lot more heartache before your road ends

I don't know what happened, but I am so sorry that your feelings were hurt and your upset
Of course your human, and it really sucks when feelings get hurt, especially when it happens to such a warm caring person like yourself. You have a very big heart. You care so much for others, you work to save the lives of animals everyday and protect them from harm. I have even seen you offer to help complete strangers. You have amazed me on so many occasions with your stories and the work that you do. You have alot to be proud of yourself for, and I promise you that things are going to get better. They always do. If you ever need to talk I am here, you can pm me anytime.

Thanks Barb....truly appreciate the concern. I can speak to one thing...Reagan died....and my step sister died during his presidency. It was a car accident...we really didn't talk about it...she was the closest thing I had to a sister.

MA, squirtle, rapunzel47..thank you sooooo much. You are right MA...part of this is definately burn out...I've seen some things I'd rather not have seen....and as much as I try to be balanced..I'm WAY out of whack right now. I'm really, really sorry if I've ever offended anyone...that's how low I feel right now....

And you are right MA...there will be more...and I hate that....because they don't deserve it MA...they really don't....and it's too much to grieve.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to barge into your privacy! Just a natural reaction, I guess. The price of being nosey... Sorry!
I am sorry to see that you have been hurt. It can be so crappy when your feelings get hurt! Whatever is going on in certainly will get better! Hang in there, you are a strong individual, and you will get through whatever is troubling you.

Ah ha!
No wonder! All these emtional things, piling up on you like that... You are right, you are human, and you have feelings that can seriously impact your life. Please know that we are all here for you whenever you need anyone. I know I'm a new kid on the block, but I can read just as good as the rest of 'em and may even have the right thing to say. You just never ever know. Take care of you, and don't be ashamed to cry!

I don't think you have offended anyone. I don't think you are seeing this right now, but every post you have ever made you are always looking out for the well being of our babies, the ones that can't speak for themselves. That is the first thing on your mind. You have seen firsthand what can happen to those babies and you do everything that you can to prevent it from happening to others. That is one of the first things I noticed about you. While it is true, you are one person, you can't save the world but I can promise you this, you make an impression on us all and you have touched the lives of so many. You do the best you can, if not more and you shouldn't think otherwise. Sit back and think of all the lives you have saved. All of the lives you have helped with the TNR program. And smile, you deserve it

Katie, I'm sorry you're feeling so low. Sometimes things can just pile up and up and up and there is a breaking point. You reached yours tonight, and it is OK to cry and to be vulnerable sometimes. You have done a lot of good for the cats that happen to come into your life one way or another. There's a lot more to it than that, and it's OK to grieve for long past hurts too.
