I go in the bathroom to take me a shower and when I pulled the shower curtain to get in a lizard drops off it and lands on my head. Now here I am screaming and dancing like a wild thing trying to bat this lizard off my head and then it lands on my chest. Things really get interesting then. I was screaming so loud it got Nakita and Dakota to barking outside.

Okay now that my mild heart attack is over you can all have a really good laugh now

IIICK! That's awful, Cathi! Hope you're not traumatized for life now everytime you get in the shower!

Toss the lizard to Sammiecat! My Manx loved those little lizards and would pull the tail off and carry it away - he couldn't care less about the body, just the tail. We called it "tail-envy".

OK, now I'm ROFLMAO!!!!

Darn! And nobody around, with a videocamera. Just think what that would have been worth, on "America's Funniest Home Videos".

I wouldn't want to subject the world to that. It would be more like a horror film

That has got to be the most hilarious visual I've had all day! Oh my, my stomach hurts from laughing so hard! I'm sorry that it is at your expense, but I also thank you for this good laugh! I think everyone here has had an experience at least slightly like this, with some sort of insect, spider (eeew, I hate them soo much, so gross with all their legs and little hairs and all their eeeyyyeeeeess!), or lizard, so we all laugh, imagining our own reactions....

Oh Cathi!!! LOL Poor you!
sorry the visual alone is hilarious but if I was in your shoes, I'd have been freaking too! and then after a good stiff drink to heal my heart attack(LOL) I'd be laughing my head off!

If that would have been a spider I am sure that all around here would have been attending a funeral Can't stand those things. Lizard is bad enough but a spider.... I shudder to think what may have happened. Oh well at least I was in the right place if I had soiled my underwear
post #15 of 26
id have been the same with a spider, i am terrified of those things, i cant even look at them and i go all goosebumpy, but i love lizards, ive got one as i pet

I hope the rest of your day is just as exciting!

LOL, Cathi! With my luck, I'd have fallen and broken something, then I'd be lying in the tub naked (with said lizard), waiting for the ambulance to get there, then they'd come in and die laughing !
OMG, what a visual! I'll bet you will look in the shower v-e-w-y carefully before you get in from now on!
OMG how funny To bad I was not there to see this

Oh My God, that would be me as well.. and then Paige would invariably attack the thing on my chest just as the paramedics came to see my feet dangling over the tub....the cure would be worse than the disease.. lizard yucks and scratches all over.. >.<

I shouldn't laugh - but that is funny! I wonder how it got in the house? Jamie and his predecessors have always managed to sneak garter snakes (or their writhing tails) into the house, but we've never had a lizard inside.

I really think my little bandits, The Sammycat and Oscar are guilty of the lizard in the shower They have this habit of catching any bug, mouse, whatever and not killing it and then racing to the bathroom to play with it in the bathtub.

The only thing I can fiqure is the lizard came in underneath the door since Ken is working on it right now and there is no weather stripping or threshold there The poor lizard made his great escape on the shower curtin and then on my head and chest. I think I need to make a deal with them boys to stop doing that and maybe my heart will last a little longer
post #24 of 26
LOL, Cathi! Maybe they're just trying to make life more amusing!
Wow, it dropped on your head? That would scare the crap out of anyone! I guess you'll never get into the shower again without looking up first. Actually, I think a lot of people here will probably do that for their next few showers.

I am laughing with the picture of the scenario in my head, but i would have been in the garden with the dogs if that were me
