I'm just updating- If you remember, a few days ago I posted about my new cat Nilla who was being chased out of her litter box by the old kitty, Purple. I did get a new litterbox, and I put it behind the trashcan. She used it some, but still peed in other places. So, I went to the vet, and she was perfectly fine. Then I thought about it. I live in an apartment where the living room, dining room and kitchen all run together. I had Purple's litterbox on one side of the room near her scratching post and window, and Nilla's box was between the dining room and the kitchen behind the trash can. So, I moved it into my bedroom, which is two doors and a hall away, and she's been using it and nothing but it (knock on wood). I guess the boxes weren't far enough apart, and I'm just glad it was that and not something with her health.
