Does she go outside? It looks like a battle wound.

Could she have fleas & she's been scratching them hard?

See if it heals by itself over the weekend. If not, take her to the vet on Monday.

It was healed before I went to work. Then I noticed it was raw when I got home. She definitely dosnt have fleas or I would have been bit up by now myself

Just do a quick fur check to see if there's fleas

You can help it with some neosporin too.

And it wouldn't hurt to treat her for fleas. My cats are strictly indoors, but somehow got fleas recently. Revolution is a really good product.

My boy Butch started getting these scabs and sores on his back and haunches. He washed them and scratched until they were raw and his fur was missing (mostly on his back). After taking my furry kids to the vet a couple days ago he said it seems more like an allergic reaction to fleas, even though they hardly have any on them (and I never noticed any myself or had any biting me). He said even one flea bite can cause this type of allergic reaction. He gave each of them a shot of Depo-Medrol and then handed me a 4 month supply of Revolution for each cat. After a couple days they both seem to be doing much better. Butch isn't obsessively washing and scratching anymore and his scabs are starting to fall off (you can see the spot on his back in the photo; he's the black one). He slept for almost two days, lol...poor guy. Koda's missing patches of fur are simply due to her being a high strung kitty. Stress from the new environment (we live in a basement now, as opposed to the house we used to live in). I would definitely recommend taking your cat to see the vet.

I actually just took my younger cat to the vet about a month back for a very similar reason. He randomly starting scratching his back, lower stomach, and scratching under his chin until it was raw. All happening within 5 days. The vet said even though he doesn't have and active live fleas, even one flea bite can cause an allergic reaction. My cat was given a steroid injection, and antibiotic shot, and a topical powder to put on the places he's been scratching. I also treated him and my other cat with flea medication for safe measures. He improved a lot and his fur is slowly growing back! No more scratching. Even if your cat doesn't have any visible fleas, it could possibly be a reaction to a flea bite.

The Seresto collar is also a really great product. It lasts for 8 months and has a quick release mechanism in the off chance your cat gets stuck.

I would not use a flea collar as it can cause chemical burns. My old cat got a bad chemical burn that dissolved the skin around her neck from one of those.

Use Revolution or Advantage.

The one @LiveLovePurr meantioned has the same issues

There's an old cautionary thread here on TCS with a link in the final post (Post 4) to another U.K. pet form:

Flea collars as a whole are bad products think about how much packaging is on them and the crazy warnings. Also the chemicals on them are known carcinogens. That's right they are known to cause cancer in people. Can't imagine this being healthy for a 10lb cat.

The Seresto collar is actually safe. Many of the flea collars you buy from the store, made by Hartz and Adams, contain unsafe ingredients for cats. I can assure you that the Seresto collar, made by Bayer, is unlike the other collars. I wouldn't put it on my cat if I didn't trust it.
