Do you have a favorite color/coat pattern of cat?  One that you are immediately drawn to?  Feel free to share a pic, either your own cat, or just a prime example!

I do...I have a really strong tortie bias, closely followed by calico.  Something about those tri-colored cats just gets me!

You will please excuse the random mess on the coffee table!  She NEVER poses in a neat spot!

I like bicolor cats. Points, tuxedo, however the mix comes I tend to find those cats in my life.
Ditto, I'm drawn to the bicolor cats and also like the smoke or gray color.  Carleton is our first cream shaded cat and I love him so much that I realize I don't have as strong of a a preference anymore.

I am drawn to orange cats. My last cat was a female long haired orange tabby; Pumpkin...

Artie is a short haired orange male....

Before that, I had a 'regular' tabby.. I think.. it was so long ago. I was playing with my doll carriage.. I used to put a baby bonnet on this poor cat's head and wheel her around. She was a good cat..

I do like the smoke color also...

...with the cats...
i'm usually drawn to orange cats, just adore them though i've never been owned by one. i absolutely love siamese and burmese cats too. my mickey
and snick
were both siamese mix kitties. i also love black cats, in part because they tend to have a hard time being adopted......
  our deedee is mostly black with just a few little patches of white on her, and is a little sweetheart!
  i chose our deedee partly because she's mostly black colored, but also because i knew that (100%) she'd be the purrfect match for our dude (aka, jaspurr). our punky is a beautiful mackeral tabby, and also is polydactyl. i love her extra digits! she's mommy's little helper, and a real sweetie. i'm also so glad that she's a part of our furmily, because she more than likely has IBD and i know she'll be looked after well and properly with us.

I love, love, love orange cats. I used to have 8 of them and they were as sweet as they could be. I miss them like crazy.

I would love to have a house full of orange kittens. I don't think there is anything cuter.

I had a Pumpkin. What a doll baby he was.

Sorry.  That was a random comment.  (Gorgeous) I thought I was commenting on the calico cat! (And all the kitties, of course.  I have yet to see a not-gorgeous cat, eh?)  Getting accustomed to participating!

I love orange cats as well.  My favorite is a chocolate pointed cat, the white or cream areas don't darken as much on them as the seal points.

I have a soft spot for black cats as well.  That isn't because I am drawn to that color, it's because of the way many people demonize them and they sit in shelters longer because of their color.

I like cats that are big and orange,

Just the shade of a new brass door hinge;

Odd-eyed white cats, Torties too,

Screamin' Meeses and the odd Snowshoe.

I like cats that are dark as night,

Cats in tuxes, black and white;

I like Coon Cats, huge and hairy,

Bobcats too, if they're not too scary.

British Shorthairs, Ragdolls too,

Persian kitties in every hue;

I like Bobtails, I like Abbies,

Bengals, Birmans and big brown Tabbies.

Ocelots, Ocicats, Brown Burmese,

Egyptian Maus and Tonkinese,

Peterbalds and Singapuras,

Turkish Vans and regal Angoras.

Somali Cats and big Savannahs,

Grey Maltese and Brown Havanas;

Cymric Cats (they're not from Wales),

Cute little Manxes without any tails.

Highlanders who look like Lynxes,

Hairy Himmies and hairless Sphynxes;

The Scottish Fold and Russian Blue,

Devon Rexes and Cornish too;

Munchkins and Korats and Balinese,

Chausies and Chartreux and Javanese;

Norwegian Forest, Nebelung Grey,

Toyger, Siberian, black Bombay.

I like cats of every size,

With gleaming coats, and piercing eyes;

And cats whose Lives were rife with doubt.

Cats who were down, but were never out.

Cats who were only a single meal

From walking right at Saint' Peter's heel;

Cats from the street and cats from the field,

Cats who'd bend, but never yield.

Truth is, since the day the world began,

They've truer Hearts than any man.

In fact, I think all cats sublime -

It's why I'm one cat over the line.

I love the pointed cats, especially the dilute ones. They are just gorgeous. But the chocolaty Burmese are my favorite. Someone on the site has two of them, and they are beautiful. I love the creamy brown color of their coats.

That said, I've never had one. I tend to choose my cats on personality, so I have a black cat and a tortie/calico.

Tabbies of any color (OK, I don't know cat types at all)

But little black boys also own my heart.

And so do little orange girls.

I love buff-colored tabby girls

And there's something to be said about the tortitude of little tortie girls.

The little grey babies are so soft and cuddly.

I could go on and on. They're all absolutely gorgeous.

I'm with you. I love them all. They are all special and all beautiful.

If I REALLY had to choose, I'd pick black cats (I'd better- I have three! ) and blue (gray) for my first true kitty love. He wasn't even my cat. He was the cat of some friends of mine that I saw pretty much daily for a long time. He loved me much more than he loved them and everyone knew it. The feeling was completely mutual. I don't think I could ever have a blue cat because somehow I would think I was cheating on him which I know is silly. Any other colored cat is fine. I know he wouldn't care. It's my hang up.  He's over at the bridge now. I will miss him until the day I see him again.

I love calicos but haven't had one since I was a kid. I have every pattern and color under the sun right now, except for tortie or calico. (I better shut up or some will show up at my doorstep!
