I know she should get to the vet. I think it may have started a couple days ago and I finally caught her on the litter box only getting a couple little dribbles out each visit twice and she is licking her private part afterward. Any way I have a Dr appointment for myself and a live trap to check In the AM, and need to make an appointment, so any body have any home remedies that might help her p until she gets to the vet ?

If she were a male cat, I'd say get her to the vet right this second, without delay, as a male cat who cannot wee is in immediate danger of dying.  But, thankfully, she's female, although I'd definitely get her to the vets today/tomorrow.  I just wanted to add about male cats in case someone else reading this has a male cat who suddenly can't wee.

Is she drinking enough?  Squirt water into her mouth with a dropper, syringe, or spoon.  Apparently, unsweetened cranberry juice is safe for cats, it must be unsweetened though.

Female cats can also block and she sounds like she's in a great deal of pain. She needs to go to the vet today. It could be life threatening.

I had the problem with a male about 6 months ago on a weekend. Got over $1000 dollars in him quick, mostly emergency care. He and she are near priceless to me but I am caring for 6 and even 1 at that is about 10% of last years income and I don't have a nest egg.. I will call the vet soon after they open as she barely got any out the last 5 hours. Thanks.

I totally understand. Please do call the regular vet as soon as you can. It's urgent.

Vet wouldn't take here in until 1PM which disappointed me, but she checked her bladder and said it was near empty and that it was small. She had UTI's in the past and she looked at her history and she always got better with antibiotics so sent us home with them and Science Diet Prescription UT food. I got a few cans and a 15.5 lb bag or something like that. A small bag come out to something like $5 a pound  and it was 3 to 4 for the bigger bag which I got,  being I am caring for 2 other cats that had UTI's,crystals, stones etc, .  I had just splurged on cat food the last couple days prior, bought a 15.5 bag of SD Hairball-UT formula and a large bag of Purina 1 UT+ 24 cans of UT Purina 1 and some 4 Health canned food.  I had a couple months I didn't spend much on the cats so I was stocking up. Last year was by far the most expensive cat year I had.

I just went to check on her, put her in a cage and she has her litter box freshly stirred up but nothing in it. I noticed similar since yesterday and today after the vet she was locked in the bedroom by herself a while. Since then I had found a very small turd out side the litter box, looked little bigger then a big rat turd.
May be a problem defecating  and she had been letting what urine she had out trying to poop ? Hope were not  treating her for the wrong problem. I just tried to get her to eat some Laxatone to help with that but she wouldn't take it., so I left  some in her dish. Guess I'll have to wait and see what tomorrow brings unless I get another idea. Any other home aids that might help her with that ?

To have so many cats affected by similar ailments is ringing alarm bells for me, and I can only think it must be something to do with their food or habitat (?).

Are they all drinking plenty of water?  A water fountain is good for encouraging cats to drink more as they prefer fresh, running water.  Parsley is good for urinary problems, look it up on google.

As for constipation, regular brushing to keep too much hair from being ingested, adding pumpkin seeds, psyllium husks, and oil (olive, cod-liver) to their food, feeding wet food, and much more exercise if they're caged (this is most important).

Are they ingesting their bedding or threads, fibres, bits of string?  Do they groom one another?

Are you in the US, as I found a list of charities who help finance pet care cost:  http://www.profpetsit.com/blog/help-my-pet-is-sick-no-money-financial-aid-and-help/

This is my oldest who prefers keeping her distance from other cats, she was my only for about 9 years.( #7 was reunited back to my cat family today after he spent about 3 winter months running wild as he ran away from his new home I adopted him out to.) Any way I have a hard time getting her to drink more and she doesn't like wet food most often so that could be part of the problem. She is usually out side all day and in for the night but I am keeping her inside now monitoring her. Seems to be peeing good now but I am not sure if she eliminated enough or may has a hair ball in her. Evidently she is not straining like she was but she ate very little today also. Hoping she would eat and poop good and I would feel she is all right at this point so I have been offering her Laxatone and I also squeezed out 1/2 a capsul of fish oil she could lick up.
Any one have experience giving cats fish oil ? I am giving some very small amounts in their food recently for skin and digestive health.
I have another female that her skin on the back above the tail has been getting flaky and she seems to chew and lick there a fair amount, thought it was getting better, but just looked at it and it seems to cover a bigger area now. Wish I'd took her to the vet now also. Hard to get them in on Sat. and they usually try to make an appointment a few or more days down the road.
