She is probably eating much more food than normal, so extra pooping during pregnancy is not unusual. I would make sure her back end and vulva are clean by gently applying a warm, damp cloth, and then applying some oil. It's also normal for a pregnant cat to have clear vaginal discharge. She sounds okay other than her bottom getting sore.
Good call! Her food intake has increased a lot, I should have thought of that! I will start using the warm cloth on her bum with some oil as well :) thanks for the advice!

So we just finished dinner, I fed both the cats and Bella only took a lick or two of hers, plus a few bites of dry food. She's been crying though and wanting out of the room, crying at the door. She's usually wanting attention but today it's more than that, especially this evening. When she stopped eating she got on top of her large crate (nest) and started meowing then let out a really loud strange meow/cry and her right eye started twitching. Her vulva looks a little bit more "open" than normal but I could be wrong..I don't typically look down there lol. She's been flicking her tail and cleaning herself like crazy too. I laid with her in the crate for a minute and she started purring away and falling asleep sitting up, now she's sleeping lol. What the heck is going on?!

She may be going into labor or sometimes pre-labor, which can last several days. As long as she is in her nest, she will be fine, but keep an eye on her.

I agree, she is probably having early contractions and growing uncomfortable. If possible, let her be with you if that is what she wants. Many cats want to be near their special person for comfort during labor and delivery.

Okay! I'm trying to just stay close by. She woke up just now looking for me,so I'm going to sit beside her nest for now. I'm really trying to rack my brain if what she went through during the week of December 18th was possibly not a heat, but I really feel it was!

Can someone please tell me how to mix the kmr powder for my mama cat! The directions on here are so confusing! I have the PetAg KMR powder

Yes, it's 2 parts water to one part powder. So for example, you would mix one level tablespoon of powder with 2 tablespoons of water for one small serving.

I usually mix 1/3 cup of powder with 2/3's cup of water to get a full cup of milk. I use a whisk to get lumps out. Cover and store the unused portion, then whisk again and warm slightly before serving next time.

I hope this makes it clear! [emoji]128522[/emoji]

I'm trying to search on here first and answer these questions myself but I can't seem to find clear answers :-(

If I was going to syringe feed the kittens, how would I make the kmr for that per say? So I could have it saved in the fridge?

It would depend on how much you need, but it will stay fresh for a couple of days in the fridge once it's mixed. If you need to syringe feed the kittens, let us know at the time and we can instruct you on an amount to mix up. [emoji]128522[/emoji]

So Bella has been SO restless today, back and forth between nests, really wants out of the room (but I'm not letting her out) she haaates when I leave the room, she's crying, meowing, cleaning herself like crazyyyy. And then I noticed she had some clear stuff all over her bum, her vagina looks like it's opened up some. Is this it?!

It certainly could be. Keep an eye on her. If she starts to have contractions, you will be able to see them.

Sorry for the late reply, been getting things ready and grabbing any last minute things we may need just in case ;) She's still restless, she had calmed down earlier and slept a lot but last night she couldn't get comfortable and paced between nests. Now she's still leaking, cleaning herself obsessively almost, her last two nips are looking extremely full, the rest of them haven't changed much from having the black spots on them. But her vagina almost looks a bit swollen? Maybe from licking? I could definitely see kittens moving earlier though. Her belly looks a lot lower, however I see movement in her sides still, not sure if that's normal? She's taken some small bits of food, lots of treats from my boyfriend (who she loves comfort from right now) lots of water. She actually slept for a while on the cold floor beside my bed with a paw on the side of the bed haha, she wanted to be cooler but close to me lol. So I can tell she is nervous for this and really doesn't want to be alone, so I try not to leave her for too long.

I'm just worried she's maybe not progressing as quickly as she should be if she actually is in labour though. Maybe she's not contracting enough?

If she is actually in labor, stage one can last 24 hours. Cats can experience pre-labor contractions on and off for a few days before real labor.

As long as she is not in distress, she should be fine. She sounds on the verge of going into labor to me.

Okay that's a bit more reassuring :) thanks! I can see the "ripple" or body twitch every few hours they are very far apart, maybe 5 contractions a day right now. She's just uncomfortable I think and really licking and cleaning

She's really sticking to three spots too, her kennel nest (which would be ideal, it's big and cozy for her and kittens), under the bed and on our bed. Also a spot on the floor that a has a huge blanket and her stuffy toy
