I've said in other threads that I would be very cautious about feeding S&C dry. It's very boney, and when I was giving it dry to my cat he developed some crystals and a high pH. The best thing is to teach him how to recognize it wet as "food." try this trick. Start by drizzling a small amount of water on top, and the slowly add more water as he starts to recognize it wet as food. I never mix it up. I just crumble up the balls into a bowl and drizzle the water on top (like salad dressing, almost). When your cat licks it up he'll get all the water with the food, even though the food is mostly dry.

Ok thank so much .. i will do that.. i think i will take a couple.. sqwish them up in water.. like a gravy.. leave that on the bottom..put some of the balls in his bowl ontop of the gravy ..put somemore "salad dressing" water on top.. he just doesnt eat it like yeah.. when its wet..I have the primal freeze dried too same thing...    Im going to get a few cans small cans Weruva Ziwipeak Tikicat BFF.. im gonna stop on my way home. he doesn't and has not loved anything i have tried with him, i know he doesn't seem to like any fish flavors.. and has throw them up..i wont go back to dry kibble.. i was giving him Vital raw tube chicken ontop of the royal canin he was eating when i adopted him, but want him to eat raw and the Vital raw cat has ...Made with 85% beef and 8% fruits & vegetables.. from what i have read on here he doesn't need fruits and vegetables..

I second @Missmimz.

By chance, I once drop some water on the dry food of my cat.
He was surprised, judging from head up and rapid blinking.

But he came back to the food which was then  ... dry wet food.

Notice: I feed my cat mixed : dry + wet.

I think that 8% fruits and veggies in the Vital is meant to replace what would normally be in the stomach of any whole live prey that cats would eat in the wild.   Some of the other commercial raw food also have a small amount of fruits and veggies in them also.

Well, that is just an assumption, not a proven fact. We are talking about Felis cattus, which is the domestic cat. There is no Felis catus in the wilderness, but only few relative species of the genus. Therefore, we really do not know what is the prey of Felis cattus, its hunting preferences and diet in the wild. We assume that Felix cattus has similar preferences as their relative species, but there is no clear scientific evidence.

As I said, there is no evidence about the presence of mice in the cat's diet in the wild. I personally doubt even the cat origin is its approach to households because of mice abundence. But this is another swtory.

One may refer to the innuits population in Groenlad, who eats only meat, inclduing liver and some intestine. Without any problem.  If we look into a stomach of a dead innuit, we shall see only meat.

The metabolism of Felis cattus description is full of assumptions. Some are very well used in the marketing of the pet food industry products- for instnace cranberry in cat food - it is nice to have it  there because, can pe shown on the label and looks wonderful. Attracts the clients....
