My grandparent's 11 year old cat (named Cat for the sake of sanity) eats a mixture of Friskies and Meow Mix. It's not that she doesn't like other foods, she's just never tried them. We tried dried food and I don't think she likes that. Grandma feeds her scraps - are there any 'healthy' scraps that I can get grandma to feed her? (She loves indulging her pets, really, but if I can tell her she can feed her vegetables or something a little healthier then maybe she wouldn't feed her too many unhealthy things)
Grandma feeds her things like pasta and rice and egg, I know egg is okay for her to eat, but honestly, she needs to loose weight. Also I need to give her treats for training - what are some good options for that? I can't feed her RAW because she lives at my grandparents so don't suggest it, please I've done research on RAW before and I just can't. It's not an option. What's a healthy, low cal wet food that I can feed my 11 year old cat that'll help her loose weight even though she's not exercising (I'll try to engage her in play more, though... Slowly but surly wins the race, ya know? One day at a time.)
