good afternoon!      and, a very Happy New Year to all!

today is a beautiful day here! it's sunny, no rain or snow forecast, though is cold (upper 30's F, so not bad). it's a great day to start out 2017!

for today's Question of the Day, let's focus on positive things...things we're grateful for......

What are 3 things that are positive in your life today?

i'll start!

-- my cats and myself are together, and in our warm home 

-- the snow on my driveway is not going to need shoveling, it will melt on it's own in the next couple of days......

-- all of our bills have been paid

how about you?

The bills are paid and there is a little extra cash in the checking account

I still have a job for a while

All 3 kids are currently home.

I have my Speedy to share the New Year with.

Speedy and I have enough to eat.

I do not have to worry about the weather today.

My bills are paid and have a little money in the bank.

Have a roof over my head, lights and heat are on, and have food in the kitchen.

Both of my kitties are healthy especially for being 13 years old.

We have a roof over our heads.

We have each other (DD, the furkids and me)

I have the makings for margaritas in the house.

- Went for a nice walk with my doggie, it was sunny and not windy.
- Currently having a lovely cup of tea.
- Yummy food and a warm home

I have good health.
I don't need anything.
I am warm and well fed. :nod:

Just in the last week, Seal cat has been letting me hold him much longer.  He is also standing up and checking out my lap.  I'm hoping he will hop up soon!

This week, a friend finally captured the feral kitten that we have tried to trap for four months!

It's raining!  We're really dry here.

Thankful for my new little  girl Sammy, & that she's a good girl. (doesn't jump on counters, tabless, etc.. just like Angel also didn't do). 

Thankful that I am not working today, because it's been a rainy/ drizzly day, & I have been in all day.

and, of course, we need to ask if your Sophie has continued her quest to gain entrance to your DD's bedroom over the Christmas/New Year's holidays?

oh! i didn't know Sophie's sailor 'apparel' was a collar...! she's such a little cutie!!! 

A very sweet and sassy little girl, your Sophie! 

we're 'pulling for you', Sophie! that one day you'll achieve your goal, and gain access to DD's bedroom!
