A couple months ago I found a spot on my cats leg that she was licking. She had licked all the fur away and the were as a cut that she continued to open up. I'm not sure how she got that wound, but it could have been from a nasty fall that she had a year prior and I had never noticed it. I took her to the vet and they gave her a shot of antibiotics in case it was infected and a shot of steroids. A few weeks later it was gone.
However, just the other day, I noticed a different spot on her leg. This time it was on her inner thigh on her back leg. I have no idea how long it was there. It could have been there just as long as the previous one. There are a few spots with scabs. I really have no idea where she got this from, but it seems to have a hard time healing with her licking. Her licking isn't awful though, as in she isn't doing it constantly, it was barely enough for me to be suspicious. She is also acting normal and eating fine.
They almost seem like large bug bites. Or maybe started as small bug bites and she made them worse. I have never seen any bugs around and she gets flea/tick medicine once a month. Also looks like there is a bit of a orange/yellow crust that is forming on the scab.
Any ideas?
