Hi, all! I am CubsCat, MomCat to Bochy, a 10 year old female Tortie adopted last month from the local pound. The poor little lady had been there for 35 days after having been surrendered by her family and was in less than stellar condition (very thin, claws overgrown, etc) but still gave headbutts through the mesh of the kennel and purred like a champ over chin and ear rubs. She's just recovering from a long-term untreated GI infection -- evidenced by diarrhea, vomiting and flatulence -- and is now acting much younger than her years, playing, swiping objects from shelves (she's obsessed with a tennis ball sized snail figurine) and generally behaving like a normal, healthy cat. The vet and I had a good laugh over the fact that Bochy was free to adopt but has cost a small fortune to restore to health. It's been worth every penny as she's a charming affectionate puss who has shown no desire to eat the hamster and is fascinated by the hermit crabs! I'm looking forward to a long and happy relationship with Bochy, aka Miss Pussens, and love the Reviews section on this site.
