A few weeks ago a pregnant cat showed up on my doorstep. And she's been inside for about 4-5 weeks. She started having discharge for almost an hour then stopped Saturday. She's been contracting on and off since then and I'm worried something may be wrong. She's being really lovey towards my other neutered male cats when before she would hiss and smack at them. But it's been over 9 weeks I'm sure. Also, she started out with her belly equally distributed. Now it's all to her left side.

She probably dropped now - even if it usually looks somewhat different, the belly getting lower and "smaller".   If she want you to rubby her tummy, do so.  Its good massage and it helps her hormones to get going.

If she hasnt no other visible problems, you can wait and see - observing  closely as its somewhat touchy of course.

As a rule of thumb; cats manage a little too long pregnancy better than humans, while early delivery / cesarean is dangerous for the kittens.   And thus, with humans when unsafe, the recommendation is to make a cesarean.  With cats - to observe but wait...

Be prepared, but be calm too, as your nervousness will influence her.

And please do report!
