Hi.

What song has been stuck in your head recently?

The supermarket I shop at plays Christmas songs at full volume at this time of year. Last time I was in there I heard Sleigh Ride. They play a slightly manic, speeded-up version that you can't help humming along to.

I find myself muttering "Tra la la, Tra la la, Tra la LA la la!" through gritted teeth as I'm waiting in line at the check out. I pity the poor women who work in there, they must need sedating before they can get to sleep at the end of the day.

Only good thing about Sleigh Ride is that it has replaced this song, which was playing in my head for weeks before that.

Apologies in advance to those of you who haven't heard it before.

I binge watched Arrested Development recently.   After doing so, I had Final Countdown stuck in my head for days.

Here is why:

Jeez. Now I'm in for it all over again.

Oddly enough, "Hallelujah," the Leonard Cohen version that says, "I don't know where it all went wrong/ but I'll stand before the Lord of Song/ with nothing on my lips but Hallelujah"

I HATE this song. It's so awful and irritating. And I overall find Rihanna's voice really bad and overrated, which doesn't help.

And yet it is everywhere, it overplays on the radio and it is all over the stores (Including the boutique I work in.So it automaticly kicks into my brain later on. Whhyyyyyyy!?

Before that it was this song (I am a huge lover of the 1920's) which was more like it. Ahhh, good times.

I really liked Leonard Cohen.  He just passed away last month.

For some reason just about any Christmas carol gets stuck in my head.

i haven't had a song stuck in my head for quite some time. i think the last song was Sergio Mendes' Chove Chuva (Constant is the Rain), some time in late summer or early fall.

Listening to the songs in this thread will fix that in a hurry.

I. . .can't even. I know Japanese music is weird but that one is just beyond weird.

That song gets stuck in my head all the time but it's the part "and it goes like this/the fourth, the fifth/a minor fall and a major lift/the baffled king composing Hallelujah :D

I know, right? But once you've heard it you find yourself repeating,

"I have a pen,

 I have an apple."

I teach a group of kindergarten age kids and they all know the words to this one.

Another Leonard Cohen fan here.

I like the line;

"Maybe there's a God above, but all I ever learned from love, is how to shoot at someone who out-drew you."

I've got parts of The Nutcracker stuck in my head after watching this video a few times:

They are fun to watch!  I enjoy the traditional ballet dances; but this is a fun take on it. They are very talented!

I hope it is okay to post twice but I was just exposed to this treasure and have been hearing it in my head for the last hour. I would like to share the joy.

OMG! Is that huge voice really coming out of that little guy?

I guess you've had your revenge for pen-pineapple-apple-pen now

I'm pretty sure he's lip-syncing. Doesn't mean that it's not his voice, but it really doesn't look like he's singing live to me :uuh:

You want live?  You got it!  (Same guy, many years later.)

The smile and the wave are the same!

OK, you win. I'm really sorry about the pen-pineapple-apple-pen song. No more Trololo, please!
