My Nakita's new friend and best buddy.

As some of you know my boy Nemo died on the third. I loved this boy so much. There is a thread in the Crossing the bridge froum about this. http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho...threadid=32917 Since he died Nakita has been having a hard time dealing with him being gone.

I went to my local HS today and look what I found there.

Nemo RIP my sweet boy


Introducing Dakota, he looks and acts like Nemo did when he was a puppy so I gave him a new furever home.

I apologize to anyone that might be offended that I am posting pictures of dogs on a cat site, but was really thrilled to find one almost like my boy Nemo.

Oh Cathy! I know that your heart hurts now that Nemo has passed, but bless that heart of yours for giving baby Dakota a furever home! He's so cute & and looks so much like Nemo. Hope Nakita loves him as much as you do!!!

That is a very nice puppy that you have. Does Mom know about him yet. I have been kinda out of touch today to what is going on around here. I like his name too. Love to all.

Offended? Never. Dogs are people, too. I'm so glad you found Dakota. He does look like a love. I hope everybody gets acquainted really soon, and Nakita feels less upset at her pal's absence -- Mum, too. It all takes time, of course. In the meantime, be good to yourself.

How could anyone be offended by a sweet face like that??? Congratulations on bringing Dakota home. We know he can never replace your sweet Nemo, but he will do a lot to ease the lonliness for you and Nakita.

I just want to say thank you to all who aren't upset with me for posting dogs on the catsite.

Nakita seems to be bonding with this little boy. I took Dakota on his first walk today and Nakita whined and cried when we left down the road. Nakita was relly happy when we came back from our walk together. I think Dakota and Nakita will do well together. Then when I took Nakita for her walk Dakota whine to go too. I guess I will just have to train them to walk on a double leash

Dakota is unique in his own way even though he reminds me of my sweet angel Nemo. I do think that Dakota is going to be very easy to train since today he didn't pull on the leash and stayed right on the left leg like I wanted him to do

Nemo was fabulous at obedience and I know that I shouldn't comapre them but it is going to be really hard not to comapre Dakota to Nemo. I slipped up and called Dakota, Nemo twice today and then started to cry when I realized what I did. God I miss that boy

Nemo was a very special boy and you were lucky to have him apart of you, now Dakotas lucky to have you and what a cutie he is! Congrats! and nope not offended as you know I'm a huge dog fan.

Not offended at all by your dog pics. I know the feeling, I want to post Sam and Spike pics all the time. When you have cats, dogs are as much as part of their lives as you are, so they just kindof blend together sometimes. How is he doing with your cats?

I want to say again how sorry I am about Nemo. You are a strong person with a huge heart and an obvious big gap to fill. It looks like Dakota is blending his way very well into your family.
