@catwoman707, The vomit was white or yellow toward the end. Dollsy isn't vomiting. The pet gives her anti-vomit meds
Yellow or occasionally yellow with a hint of green is typical of panleuk virus. Diarrhea tends to look like that too, but not always. Often will have blood in it.

The yellow vomit from your kitty that passed, was it yellow liquid, like watery with no food in it?

No need to even answer that, I'm pretty darn sure it's kitty parvo (panleuk)

Continue doing what you've been, it's a symptom of this virus but I wouldn't say it means she will or won't make it.

Chances are she won't make it, but as long as there is ANY chance she might, just continue on as you have been.

All hope is not lost as long as she is still living.

Try to keep Dollsy drinking...if only a few drops from an eye dropper. If she is pooping blood, then she can become dehydrated even more quickly. I don't know if it would be beneficial to give her some sort of electrolyte solution, or possibly some sugar water to try to get some energy into her. I don't know if this is a good idea or not...hopefully someone with more experience in situations like this might provide some more solid suggestions.

To me, it sounds like Dollsy is gravely ill... if she makes it or not, it is ultimately out of our hands, but you can do whatever you can to keep her comfortable, warm (but not overheated), and hydrated if possible without causing too much stress, which is why I mentioned an eye dropper. just a drop on her tongue might cause her to lick it. After a bunch of small drops, a significant amount of water or electrolytes is swallowed. It is good that the vet gave her anti nausea meds so she will keep her food and water down. I wish both you and Dollsy the best and please keep us informed...even though many have replied, 10X this amount of members are no doubt following your battle and are pulling for your little girl, myself included. My last cat was found in a drainage ditch when she was abandoned around 5 weeks old. She nearly didn't make it, but we worked and did what we could to help her out and now she is the best cat  ever, although she is tiny compared to our others.

Please keep us in the loop. C'Mon Dollsy...we are sending our hopes to help you out...just hang in there a little longer.

Jim and friends.

What makes you say that?

How do you think she is suffering?

What is done there for animals who are suffering? There must be something that they do.

For instance if an animal is hit by a car and suffering who can not recover, what then?

Since she defecated blood, she is not letting me keep her on my lap. She tried to stay under the bed, but I dragged her out of there because it's cold and damp down there. She's lying very still and one of her eyes are closed. She has strained breathing and she meowed feebly for a while but still wouldn't let me pick her up

What about Central Animal Hospital?

It also shows several vets in Dhaka.

Strained breathing is no good. Her body is likely trying to shut down.

It'll take me at least 3 hours to get to Central Vet Hospital, with Dhaka traffic, and I have to go to work. I already took yesterday off to look after her and another day each for Captain Claw and Daisy. I'm just hoping they don't fire me or anything. It's 9.20 AM here now, and the vet I take her to won't see patients until 1 PM.

You have tried so hard with this little one, but you can only do what you can do.  Is there anyone can stay with her and hold her when you go to work?   Or is there some way you could wrap her up and take her with you and then try to get to the vet?   That said, you may feel it is more kind for her to wrap her warm in a safe place and allow her peace until you can get back home?

@MServant, yes. Traveling  makes her scared and nervous. My mother should be home in about half an hour more. She'll keep an eye on my baby while I'm at work. She'll also take her to the vet at 1

It's after 4 am here and I have to try and get some sleep, but will be thinking of you and your little one until I am able to come back on line and check for updates.   I am sure it will be really hard for you leaving Dollsy, even though your mother should be home with her, and able to get her to the vet.

Try and tell yourself you are doing everything you can: sadly the demands in our human lives do not always allow us to stay with our human or fur families when they are sick and need us, no matter how much we want to.  There's a whole pile of TCS people around the world all thinking about you and Dollsy, and willing Dollsy well -  to be comfortable and safe what ever happens over these coming hours.

Thank you so much, all of you fantastic souls <3

Dollsy is still hanging on. I am amazed at that little thing's resilience. Mum took her to the vet, and he gave her the usual antibiotic, anti-vomiting and subcutaneous fluids. But she's not doing well. She is moaning from time to time and just lying scarily still, with her  eyes open. She's not even closing them or even blinking. I can tell she's in unspeakable pain and I wish I could take some of it away.  I held her paw throughout the night and told her Mama's here whenever she moaned, but now I'm at work and I'm not even there for her. Mum is staying by her though. She's being wonderfully supportive

It sounds very cruel what is happening. I'm very sorry you do not seem to be in a position to do the right thing.

Those of us who live in countries with vets close by who have access to procedures which can prevent animals going through unnecessary suffering, and who have the resources to get to these vets rarely appreciate how privileged we are.  I do not think it is only Dollsy going through pain here @Capt Claw  , you share her pain though it is through your emotional connection, love and care.   This takes a strong soul to do and it is a relief to hear that your mother is there with you and supporting you and Dollsy through this together as a family.

I just woke up and the first thing I did was held my breath while waiting for the computer to turn on. I'm here now. So is Dollsy, which I wasn't expecting to be honest. All 4 of us are thinking of you. Big vibes and hugs

She has your love to surround her, even when you are not there. She knows you love and are concerned for her, it is bringing her much comfort in her time of duress. You are doing all you can, loving her and comforting her is all she ever wants, my heart cries for her pain and yours, bless you for loving her so much. I will pray for you both to find peace, you will be in the thoughts of many today, we all share your agony.

Don't get me wrong, I feel nothing but sorrow for you Capt Claw, but why can't the vet euthanise her?

From what your write:

“Mum took her to the vet, and he gave her the usual antibiotic, anti-vomiting and subcutaneous fluids.”

“Since she defecated blood, she is not letting me keep her on my lap.

She tried to stay under the bed, but I dragged her out of there because it's cold and damp down there.

She's lying very still and one of her eyes are closed.

She has strained breathing and she meowed feebly for a while but still wouldn't let me pick her up.”

“I can tell she's in unspeakable pain..”

She is dying. Why prolong this horrible suffering?

Thank you, all of you, for keeping us in your prayers. She's still here, my resilient soldier. But @Orientals is right. I'm just prolonging her suffering. I'll ask the vet again if there is anything he could give her, to end her suffering. I'd rather let her go than let her keep having to bear this excruciating agony.
Thank you all of you, for standing by a complete stranger like this and sharing my pain. I'm amazed at you lovely people

Euthanasia is a highly personal decision that each person must decide for themselves. They should not be pressured or shamed into it. Didn't you say Capt Claw that your vet does not euthanize? Surely he can give pain medicine though. But just know you have my support no matter what you choose. I'm so sorry for you and your sweet kitty. You are a great kitty mama. Hugs to you!
